Visually, Season 3 is a good step up from anything Season 1 ever did.
 
The writing’s changed too. It’s a different flavor.

it does seem to teeter dangerously closo male te viewer fanservice (evil red auras in magic and such)
 
but it still has its’ charms, we just need to see some calm slice of life eps;  
until now we’ve had an adventure double ep as the premiere, a Pinkupine ep and a Kmuck ep, followed ßy a Chricksea returns ep.

The first and last few episodes of a season tend not to be so on-mark, Party of One excepted. Have patience.

Season 3 has been amazing so far, and if you’re nostalgic about two years ago…wow.

I think differently. The tone of friendship is still present and it keeps the “we’re aiming for little girls” vibe.
 
Doesn’t hurt that I don’t find much of S1 all that riveting.

The only thing worse in season 3 is the episode names.
 
Seriously, it’s like they just gave up on them compared to the previous names.
