Episode 5 is BY FAR the best episode of the season so far. And I’m not even a Trixie fan.

Well I thought the premier was fun, Too Many Pinkie Pies was hilarious and an actually interesting storyline, and One Bad Apple was ok with an awesome song.
 
Course, you’ll just chalk my opinion up to me being a fan and not wanting to consider that the show could degrade over time. Meaning you’ll not change your opinion because of mine or anyone else’s at all. Making this picture is entirely pointless since it’s not going to spark any discussion on anything and will soon be forgotten since we’ll all watch the next episode next week. Hurray!

The premier was good, but it wasn’t as good as the other 2 parters
 
Too Many Pinkie Pies was awful, but what else did you expect from Dave Polsky?
 
And One Bad Apple was great, but a bit preachy.

Funny, I had the same impression at the beginning of season 2 but not at the beginning of this season. Season 2 grew on my and I’m enjoying the new shows a hell of a lot.
 
I think it may be because I’m not analyzing the show as much and enjoying it for what it is: wonderful entertainment.

I am honestly so excited to see where they take this season. The implications of a (relatively) serious subtle over-arcing plot-line in a show aimed at little girls makes me way happier than it probably should.

The episodes are moving faster now than ever. That’s my only critique. The story is being pushed pretty hard. Everything else is bang on or better.

I didn’t think much of Crystal Empire and One Bad Seed was average for me, but Too Many Pinkie Pies will go down as one of my favorites of the series. There are still plenty of episodes to come, so don’t rush to judge this season.

Lets just put it this way.. Pinkie Pie is my favorite pony, and P.P. centered episodes are my favorite…. Yet, I was not very impressed with the latest P.P. episode, mainly because of he flimsy plot and how unintelligent the other ponies acted. I hate when writers dumb down characters for the sake of the story.

All because people Sombra didn’t speak much…
 
Except for the not-so-creative episode name and the annoying previews, I have yet to find anything that is worth criticizing seriously in S3.

The season 3 premiere was just blah, compared to the awesome that was the season 2 premiere..

I personally enjoyed the slower paced, down to earth feeling in season 1. Some people may not, but the show does seem to have a different tone these days.

How does this work? And honestly, tell me that Ticket Master is a better, more developed episode than One Bad Apple. The show now knows the direction it wants to take.

I actually kinda agree with OP, getting a bad vibe from the upcoming ep.

Or another suggestion if you can’t resist teasers: Watch them on mute. You get the pretty pictures, but you’re still excited to find out what it means by the time the episode rolls around.

I still love all the in joke’s and references the show is using, and all the “meme” material, but the actual “writing” for the show… It could be a whole lot better. I guess you could say, that I watch it for the plot. :P.. But the plot isn’t as firm as I would like. XD

Ok that was pretty funny.

Everything is faster paced in this season, and did anyone understand what UTTFISH is typing? XD

My suggestion? Stop watching the preview trailers and spoiler clips. I watched each one during season 2 and I noticed that my enjoyment of the episodes was less. I haven’t watched a single one during season 3 so far, and I’m enjoying it as much as season 1.
