Really? I thought that filly that stole it was just getting some revenge becuase now she had the ability to face her abuser, not that the amulet ‘made her evil’.
By the way, a question for readers of the comic: I’ve been told that after retrieveing her shapechanging amulet, Celly destroys it. Does she? That seems wasteful.
My immpresion is that it was Issue 51 and Legends of Magic (which came right after this) is when they got serious about matiching continuities, making anything before that suspect.
IIRC she objected the suddenness of Discord’s proposal, but after he explained that her duties wouldn’t be disrupted she jumped at the opportunity before Discord even finished.
Shoot, that moment could have been what started this tradition.
“Tradition”? That seems like a contradiction of Whitley/Fosgitt’s “For the Pony Who Has Everything”, which implied that Celestia had never before dared to go among her subjects so magically disguised.
