How is any type of relationship not-child-friendly? As long as they aren’t actively showing them getting it on, why does it matter?
I love how people take this out of context thinking it’s an actual romantic shipping instead of what it really is, friendshipping. Since Hearts and Hooves day is their version of Valentine’s Day, it only makes since to have friends giving each other gifts. That’s what this is, best friends giving each other . Not , but just friends. I do stuff like this all the time on Valentine’s Day for people the same gender as me but not because I’m gay, but because I see them as family. Also this is a children’s show so there is no way they’d add lesbians as it would take away from the show… And because parents would more than likely take it the wrong way and sue Hasbros pants off.
I always love it when the show– over and over again– clearly portrays Lyra and Bon bon as being a couple, because I am a fan of circus performances and it’s fun to watch people jump through hoops.

Funny though that they showed the “friendship love” aspect of this holiday with Lyra and Bonbon, a fan favorite lesbian couple, and not with ANY OF THE MILLION OTHER FRIENDSHIPS this show has.
