(before anyone says anything, yes, I saw the video) I mean, there’s only so much an animatic with few frames per second can show so maybe we’re all just misinterpreting Marble’s expressions.
If it really is indeed supposed to be Marble feeling sad about seeing Big Mac and Sugar Belle in love, then damn, that really is a very cruel move from Hasbro to all the MarbleMac shippers. Hell, even if it’s just Marble being embarrassed rather than sad, the fact this scene can be interpreted so ambiguously still hurts the shippers.
I used to ship MarbleMac, but now I guess I’m glad I moved on over to SugarMac as soon as Hard To Say Anything came out. Honestly, I’m just happy for Big Mac to finally have a girlfriend at all, regardless of who it is as long as she’s good for him. I personally think Sugar Belle’s a better mare for him than Marble Pie, but I’m okay with others shipping MarbleMac.
I said /pol/ because that is where is this idea that everyone on the left supports things like incest and paedophilia comes from. I’m probably what most would consider left, and I’ve never supported those things, and anyone that believes everyone on ‘the left’ unanimously supports such things is getting high on their own supply.

No one, or at least not me, is saying Hasbro should or will condone incest. The only conversation I’m taking part in is speculating whether or not they are related. At no point did I mention Hasbro. I know very well Hasbro wouldn’t condone the MarbleMac relationship.

It doesn’t matter if they are cousins
It doesn’t matter if they are distant cousins
It really doesn’t matter if 1% or 0,000001% of their genetics is similar to eachother.
It doesn’t matter if any of it is legal or illegal in your country/state or if it was historically accepted in the past or whether it is progressive and accepted today
THERE WILL BE NEVER be a moment where Hasbro place a toyset of Pinkie Pie and Applejack described as “cousins” or “family” while at the same time there is a set with Big Macintosh and Marble Pie labeled as “loving couple”. Nobody cares how much separate they are and that 100% of their offspring will be healthy. You guys don’t understand that this is unacceptable from the standpoint of a international company that sell toys in different countries that have different stances on such marriage. So don’t explain to me why it isn’t bad because I myself would rather see MarbleMac than SugarMac but i understand the logic behind it.

She probably wouldn’t mind. They were “in love” because of a love potion poison that was given to them without their consent. The episode also more or less teased at the idea of her being proud to be single and perhaps being okay being platonic friends with Big Mac.
Not to mention all humans. Also, marrying your cousin wasn’t uncommon until about the 1900s, especially among pedigree families. It’s generally not recommended though.
Cousin is sometimes used metaphorically, anyway. Given the lengths Pinkie had to go through to find out if she and the Apples were even related at all should show just how distant it was, especially since Granny smith and the cat pony didn’t know off hand. It wouldn’t have been incest to any worthwhile degree.
