If we put up pictures, then people are going to comment and say what they ship, yes, and we have no problem with that. What we do have a problem with is people being dirty-mouthed jerks and calling us idiots, which is absolutely NOBODY’S fault but theirs, and we don’t want those kind of comments. We’re fine with people disagreeing with us, but just not if they behave like rude, aggressive jerks.

I agree. Everything they use as so-called “evidence”, like hugs and laughs and saying that they care about each other is stuff that every character in the entire show does. It’s no proof of anything romantic. But we should still tell Fluttercords that we respect their opinion, so they don’t have any excuse to blame us.

I completely agree. The main reason I dislike Fluttercord shippers is because they’re usually jerky hypocrites who try and shove their biased opinions down my throat, but I do kind of dislike that so many people ship Fluttercord too, as it just doesn’t seem right to me, but even so I respect that they have that opinion because it is up to them what they ship. But I definitely think Dislestia should happen.

Ya is that i dont like fluttercord shippers and think its not ok because of that (but i guess as long as they dont say terrible stuff like that its ok) and i mostly see that type of comment on some of my work i just want discord to not be with someone younger and a mortal who knows maybe another female draconequus who live just as long and the same age as discord will be ok too who knows but i want to remain more confident for celestiacord because they could not show those hints for notting huh.

So do I. If they don’t like our ship, then they can comment on some other pictures. No one’s forcing them to look at our art. I mean, if they said “I prefer Fluttercord, but I respect your opinion,” that would be fine, and we wouldn’t get defensive because there’s nothing wrong with being a Fluttercord shipper, and we respect their opinion too, but when people tell us it’s canon and that our opinions are wrong or stupid, that’s not OK, and why shouldn’t we defend ourselves?

Thank you this is why i get angry i think the main reason is that i want discord to be with soneone his own age and can live just as long as he does because i like the discord character i don’t like it when this guy said its not helping what im doing or saying but like you said “but when someone tells you you’re stupid or delusional and that a ship you hate and they love that is blatantly not canon is canon, and that we are going to be crushed” is just awful and makes me worried for a character that i like i wish these fluttercords never comment

Really i said i cant help it do you see comments they could leave i said that i got one saying all shippers who like the same thing i do should be shot i did not respond to any fluttercord comment in there but if one says that i should stop doing artwork of something i like and saying im wrong that is when i get upset
 
Im not defending there ship just the freindship and this was my art work they should of not comment at all i alredy told myself to ingore but comments like these just keep on comming and im getting tired of it to and i have to say the same thing because that is the truth that i say but they just dont get it i wish i could stop but of course i need to explain my self and defend my self what more could i do

If they’re asserting their ship is canon or trying to bully you into seeing things their way, you could waste your time arguing with them or telling them you see their ship as friendship. Which, in turn, leads to someone on their side seeing it as the same thing flipped around back at them, which leads them to feeling the need to defend their ship. And then you defend yours. And the whole thing repeats and generally annoys everyone involved.
 
But you could’ve spent that time ignoring them and just having a nice chat with Purple, or watching a cute cat video. Seriously, I just typed “cat vs cactus” into Youtube to see if it existed… and naturally it did. XD
 
But yeah, I don’t mean to dig into you. I just didn’t like seeing Purple apologising for something that wasn’t their fault. Also, there was a really bad Fluttermac/Cheerimac shipping war back on Ponibooru (and Deviantart, I think?), so I’ve seen what it’s like when this sort of thing snowballs into toxic drama. I’m pretty sure I prefer cat videos.

I rather ship celestiacord because it has potential to be true and im sure it will become canon after seeing the hints why else would they be thete and i dont concider equestria girls canon but that does not stop you for shipping your ship which is good and your work does not diserve so much down votes but its just getting ridiculas that they say stubid stuff and i cant help but to defend my self or celestiacord i have to do something i would like to ignore but they just wont stop coming and say those stubid things its well idk anymore i wish these fluttercords can just stop

Really really im not saying is wrong; im saying that fluttercords saying “our ship is canon” when its not is wrong and its clearly just friendship there has been more hints of our ship because its actully there i can tell when one is freindship and one is possible love.
 
then also those fluttercords should not comment saying “oh they implied fluttercord” when its not true i can’t help but to defend my ship at least i dont go to fluttercord art and “say oh this ship is false” or say “all fluttercord shippers should be shot on sight” like one comment i got telling me “all dislestia shippers should be shot” and telling me i should stop makeing celestiacord art and i say celestiacord more often really but anyways to me my ship actully makes sense and discord and fluttershy are just friends
 
Besides this is my comic and i alredy posted this its not the uploders fault but again i can’t help but to defend the ship i enjoy

I mean, Mr100dragon100’s responses and “your facts are false while my facts are right so shut up” attitude to interpretations of a cartoon show weren’t particularly helpful to keeping the conversation respectful.
 
He didn’t need to justify his ship or criticise someone else’s. If an idiot posted a comment doing one of those things, they’re not worth responding to. Doing exactly the same thing back at them is how you waste a 50-odd comment conversation on “these fluttercords”. It’s not your fault for uploading, it’s his for engaging in the way he did. And the anon he responded to.
 
We all need to remember how to chill and have fun with our fake horses. I care less about who’s “right” and more about the fact that “dislestia” sounds like dyslexia and “discoshy” (the Derpibooru tag) sounds like… well…

And hey, even if Fluttercord WAS canon (which it isn’t), since when do they have the right to say we’re stupid for shipping Dislestia anyway? I mean, Flashlight is canon, but I still ship Twiflam. Zephyrdash is canon, but people still ship Soarindash and Quibbledash. Sugarmac is canon, but people still ship Marblemac and Cheerimac. Seriously, what’s it to them what we ship?
