In some cases they probably aren’t. Which is why people found about this trend of revealing this kind of relationships way at the end of a show’s lifespan to avoid controversy and any possible backlash that might fall upon the product.
 
I’m not fully sure that’s the case on this show tho, since we already went over Scoots Aunts and I haven’t seen the season being cancelled midway through because of it.
