And what kind of relationship can we talk about here? Discord brought Fluttershy to tears again. Initially, under betrayal with Tirek, now this too. How disgusting of him..
@PurpleWonderPower
At this point it is more just denying FlutterCord. Because now they want to imply that Fluttershy spent her life being single and never falling in love. If she lives in Discord dimension then theres no way any stallion would marry her or even date her. I think even non shippers should assume she had a happy life with Discord than assume she was just a roomate who was too socially awkward to live in Ponyville and she spent her life never getting a single Heart and Hoof day gift.
@Background Pony #2FC5
Yeah. Some shippers can be really biased. And the fact that they’d try and deny Cheesepie is just pitiful. I mean, I’m among them with their desires. I’m disappointed that Dislestia didn’t happen and I’m pretty annoyed that they canonized Fluttercord too, but I’m not going to deny it, because that’s just ridiculous. Just cause I don’t like it, that doesn’t change the fact that it’s true.
@PurpleWonderPower
There are still people who want Dislestia or their waifu Fluttershy to be single. There is no reasoning with them. I have seen people saying that CheesePie isn’t canon because Pinkie didn’t say she married him nor that she said that is her child. I was already prepared for anti Discoshy shippers to completely dismiss all evidence in S9.
@Shooting Star 4878
Well, as much as I hate to admit it, it’s pretty heavily implied that Fluttershy and Discord are married in the epilogue. I mean, between them living together and the line in She Talks To Angel, it does point to that strongly.
@Background Pony #2F83
What friendship part? Grogar never mentioned friendship anything, he only ever talked about using each other’s strengths to overcome weaknesses, which they did. Rather, Discord never actually mentioned that friendship can just be working together and getting along with each other, which they clearly did at the finale. They joked, they had fun, and when they finally had the chance to take over they didn’t suddenly fight each other for who would be the leader of it all, they were for all intents and purposes friends.
@Background Pony #2F83
What was the plan again? Get them to work together and understand friendship and teamwork with each other? I mean they did that. Didn’t it work? They came together as one and defeated everyone as a team, they didn’t even backstab each other when the all powerful bell was right there, any of them could have when they got a hold of it but they didn’t. Discord’s plan to make them work together to get the all powerful weapon worked, didn’t it?
So uh… when was the whole not being a dick to the rest of the world part supposed to come in? I feel like that should have come before the bell thing. He didn’t have to tell them about the bell, they didn’t know about the bell, he didn’t even have to send them to get the real bell, but anyway he just taught them that they can work together and take over the world, but not the part where taking over the world is a bad thing. Discord really did learn nothing since season 4, did he? He’s the same terrible idiot he always was. They shouldn’t have given him his magic back.
Discord was literally there when Sombra was defeated. The “magic ball” was him showing things he personally witnessed with his magic.
Discord is the same guy who didn’t notice the Mane Six weren’t Discorded anymore until it was too late, so him failing to be detail-oriented out of overconfidence is hardly anything new.
@Background Pony #2FC5
I know. It’s horrible. It’s like writing Starlight or Sunset as a power-hungry villainess again, or Luna as a maniacal dark sorceress again. Discord’s been seriously abused these past couple of seasons.
@Background Pony #2F83
Yeah, if he saw Sombra’s actions, why he couldn’t see actions of the rest 3 villains? Also I wonder what he wanted to do with the bell.
@Background Pony #2FC5
The plan was actually pretty decent in hindsight. The only problem is why he bothered sending the trio after the bell? I mean, why send them on a quest to get a weapon stronger than even him? As far as I know, trying to teach them friendship wasn’t part of the plan. Maybe he knew they had the bell and didn’t think they’d use it on him? But that still brings up the question of how he didn’t think they’d do that if he knew they had it behind his back? The bell quest is kinda a plot hole without enough information.
@PurpleWonderPower
I mean what do you expect from the writer of Matter of Principals and Josh Haber as show runners for this season? They always made Discord into an annoying asshole while Vogel and Confalone write him as an asshole with a heart of gold
@PurpleWonderPower
Discord is a good guy but he also messed up and caused this whole shebang due to being too full of himself and overconfident with his powers and plans.
What the heck is this? If they’re going to make out Discord as joining the dark side again, I’m completely done with this show. Not that I’m not already, of course, but this is just pathetic. Discord has been butchered this season, and if they’re making him a villain again, then––you know, I don’t even have a word for it, it’s just so disgusting.
@Background Pony #AD7F
He is literally the most powerfull creature in Equestria. And now with Elements gone they really can’t punish him anymore. The only thing they can do is FLuttershy giving him a cold shoulder for couple of days.
