Now that you mention it. It really isn’t the first time they can’t decide what they want, Spike and Twilight’s relationship, Applejack’s parents’ fate, or Big Mac’s relationship. It’s just weird they are still doing this after the show is over. I guess this is what happens when too many people are behind one thing. MLP probably isn’t the only show with this kind of problem.

On canon being dropped though, it gets interesting when you have something that is written out of canon but other things that happened being reliant on that events existence.

Sometimes, if say there was a implication in canon that could be logically taken somewhere even if later not supported by word of the staff. Honestly, a lot of times the snow itself is pretty unsure about things (Like Spike and Twilight’s relationship!) and we don’t have a legit answer at all.

My first guess being it was just the ideas of Nicole Dubuc or whatever discussions that they did had was low level.
 
My thoughts on Cozy is that they were arguably justified in Season 9 to turning her to stone in that moment but she wasn’t given a backstory that justified her being evil enough to not be redeemable at all and Twilight never having truly tried showing her the Starlight treatmeant before that moment is pretty poor writing and morally dubious for the show’s own universe. Though I can still come up a line of logic defending Twilight to an extent.

The Cozy Glow we were following isn’t the TRUE Cozy Glow, the one we saw on the big screen was in reality one of Cozys’ pet Ravens assuming the form of her master. All across the series, Cozy has been hiding within the shadows of society, slowly plotting her retribution against Celestia for what happened to her.
 

 
Cozy went to liberate her Ravens’ from within the Palace Menagerie; they have the natural ability to exude fear and dread towards all that they would percieve as their active enemy. All that they needed to do was spread it to the other critters and have them panic at the sight of Fluttershy long enough to get them to rampage and cause the perfect distraction to escape through.
 

 
In the aftermath of Queen Chrysalis’ defeat, Cozy Glow visited her wrath tenfold upon the surviving Changelings for their trespass. By this time, her strength and influence had both grown immensely, swelling alongside her personal army comprised of Diamond Dogs. The fighting was so intense that the very land was blasted apart; exposing the Hive within the middle of a glassed crater that once stood as part of a forest… more than 35% of the surviving Changelings were killed inthe blast, and Chrysalis would be ever-wary of reference towards “The Light Of Lights”: the title that Cozy Glow always referred to herself by as she never revealed her name or her face to the Changelings. There was a similar cataclysm that was visited upon Proto-Queen Locust months before as Cozy Glow laid waste to her Sub-Hive and to wipe out the Berserker Caste in its’ entirety that caused a Changeling civil war to break out that had saw Chrysalis ascend to become the sole Queen.
 

 
Cozy Glow has lived on the fringes of society, and has always maintained a presence within the Everfree Forest. Regularly, she would make pilgrimages towards The Castle of Two Sisters to offer up her prayers to the Sun Goddess, and wishes for the Moon God; praying to return her life, to destroy the curse that the heretical fallen Priestess Celestia afflicted her with out of jealousy. Cozy holds no value towards any who are aligned completely with Celestia: who has placated the masses into worshipping her over that of the Sun Goddess Rukhmar, to create a school teaching Magic when it was her family of House Corvus that had learned magic first from the Moon God Anzu, and were sent with his blessings to teach the Unicorns about the Arcane…

Discord also didn’t want to change, even mocking the ponies for trying to do so with him, but Fluttershy did not give up on her. Cozy, meanwhile was given up on almost immedietly after being revealed with no second chance nor any sort of long-term help given to her. And no, she acted very much like a filly despite being evil. Her mannerisms, the way she talked and the way she threw tantrum all suggest that. Meanwhile, there was nothing to suggest that she may be some knockoff changeling or a dwarf. There is more evidence pointing towards her being a child then anything else.

No, she really is a pony. Her voice actress suggested she might not actually be a child, but if she weren’t a pony at all, it would take away from the lesson of School Raze.

Please stop. Cozy Glow could have changed but she didn’t want to. She could have been some monster pretending to be a filly since she doesn’t act like one.

Well we will find out this month. They release a new plot description, cover art and title every month and the last one they released was #99 even though it’s only #96 that comes out this month. So in just a few days, we will no whether or not our perfect little filly queen will return.

Maybe her backstory isn’t tragic at all. Her voice actress was interviewed in this video I saw and she said that she doesn’t think there’s any reason to believe she had a bad home life, because she knows people who’ve had horrible childhoods but grown up to be great people. She thinks Cozy is just evil because she’s the embodiment of the devil or something.

Of course. I think this is my least favorite thing about the crew of MLP. They seem to like to provoke the fans with tweets like these. They probably don’t know we would go crazy over things like these and think they’re just being quirky but I still find it quite frustrating.

I actually always like to talk about the show in depth and share my opinion. I stumbled upon this post and wanted to express that opinion. I personally wouldn’t want Cozy to reform but I don’t really mind if anyone does. That’s other’s opinions and I can’t change that. I only wanted to express my frustration toward tweets like this and not start anything with anyone.

Yes, because the writers have to know that it’s the #1 most requested thing from the fans in the entire multiverse and they want to do something special for issue #100.
 
Maybe issue #100 will be her backstory and then issue #113 (which would be “Season 10: Episode #25” AKA Part 1 of the finale) will be when we get to see her redeemed. So it’ll be well over a year until we get to see my poor little Goddess freed, but as long as it eventually happens, I can wait.

Will she get redeemed? I don’t know. I pray every night that she will be, but if the comics decide not to, I can accept it, so long as they give her more of a chance to be forgiven and she decides against it. Also, she should be freed forever and be a reoccurring villain if she stays evil. I just can’t take my poor little Goddess suffering unjustly any longer!!!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
