Spike into a dog was bad enough, Hitch into a dog would be even worse irl, cuz Hitch is much better written than Spike in the first G5 movie, and he’s a PONY as well.

Sparky into a dog would makes little impact on the flip side.

I’m still mad that the former bronies harassed, doxxed, and sent death threats to that poor lady that was a former crew member of FIM due to her writing both Equesria Girls and Magical Mystery Cure to the point of driving her into hiding! Yeesh, that whole so-called controversy was blown WAAAAY out of proportion IMHO. I hope wherever she is now, I hope she’s doing ok and has gotten some mental help.

Maybe because the Flash doll had such poor sales in the past, Hasbro is just avoiding making that mistake again.

They didn’t reveal Hitch’s doll because he’s going to be turned into a dog.

I see. So Opaline becoming a teenager in Equestria Girls doesn’t make any sense. But beings such as the dazzlings staying teenagers for years and years makes sense. I guess Starlight Glimmer, a full grown pony, becoming a teenager makes sense as well.

Actually it’s technically not G5 equestria girls there’s a new name for these dolls but it’s blurred out for copyright reasons so when it’s gets revealed it won’t be equestria girls but something call cutie mark

Sadly I agree. Knowing that Atomic Cartoons struggles with MYM, one could only imagine if they did an EqG spinoff. Even with help wanted posts they made, they still don’t have the power to render all frames for all 23 or 24 episodes. This is why the release schedule is so late into the year. There may be a chance that ch4 may be released in September again. These late releases could happen with the potential new EqG spinoff too.

I have no Idea if Atomic Cartoons has the power to make a full on series for the new EqG. Considering their issues with MYM releases and rendering problems, working both MYM and G2 EqG would be too much for them

I mean characters with potential for interesting story telling, but only get brought in for a short time, then end up being pushed aside and not getting the spotlight they need. The Shadowbolts and the Dazzlings for example.

Friendship Is Magic was a break out success nobody expected to blow up like it did. Over the years Hasbro had to grow into its full potential. Started with a simple show; then comic. Got a mobile game and spin-off(Equestria Girls) couple years later with a single movie, a handful of shorts, and two specials years apart.

This time around Hasbro appears to want to cover all bases off the jump. A 3D movie, two specials, comic series, console game, mobile game, 2D web series, audio series, Netflix series, and now a possible new EQG series all released/announced between the course of 2 1/2 years. They weren’t playing this time around.

I can’t find anything on the mym team struggling for employees to finish it and what errors did it have? How are the comics sloppily done.

What evidence is there that the movie went through development hell? All I remember was a few leaked alternate story scripts; something pretty common for animated movies.

Nobody here right now expects EQG G4 to ever get a proper finale.

I’ve enjoyed nearly everything G5 has afforded so far with the exception of the Make Your Mark Part 1 Special. I haven’t read to deeply into the comics yet but I know some major plot beats.

mym studio was struggling for employees to finish it, sure they finished it but errors esp in the beginning, comics are being sloppily done, evidence that the ang film may have went through some dev hell, main toyline is marketed and produced like trash really the only thing that went 100% swimmingly was the tyt shorts and probably bc those were outsourced mostly. i still like mlp g5 as a product but its debut post ang has not gone swimmingly, another eqg series to add on just would not make sense. new monster high dolls neither mlp g5 stuff arent flying off the shelves this really does feel like a one time thing only. we are def not getting a proper g4 eqg continuation either soo

Why wouldn’t they when the last time they did; it ended up popping off? In some countries EQG was more popular than the main show content. EQG was never this universally hated spin-off some like to try to pretend it was.

The first Equestria Girls movie was lackluster as heck; but when Rainbow Rocks dropped it skyrocketed.

like id love a new eqg show or whatever but they’re already straining themselves making the current stuff lol
