I personally think it was Kiki’s parent’s fault for seeking scam/pseudoscientific treatments. Only trust what professionals tell you to take. Never seek alternative treatments.

Her prognosis was slim at best, even if she had been given legitimate treatments. One can hardly blame the parents for being desperate.
That said, her chances would have been better, if still practically non-existent, with aggressive treatment; or they could have opted for palliative care, which would have eased her pain. Blame for what happened should be placed on those who exploited grieving parents and worsened the fate of a dying child with fake “medicine”.
Radiation therapy has really sophisticated methods to only expose the actual tumour to a large dose of radiation while exposing the rest of the brain to a really small amount. It’s done by changing the direction of the radiation beam thousands of times while the focused point remains the same.
Gosh this brings all those memories from a few years ago back, when I lost my big brother to a freakin brain tumor T_T
Cancer is one evil disease, that should especially not touch young people that have so much to live for.

Well Kiki’s parents claimed chemo wasn’t guaranteed to cure the brain tumor, and it’s a fact that chemo can wreck havoc on a body. Perhaps her parents felt the alternative treatments were worth a shot. Not that I know anything of course, I know nil about medicine or what’s the chance of curing the tumor with chemo.
