That’s the only reason I never donated. I wanted to help the poor kid, but I don’t want to encourage unscientific “treatments” that are uninformed at best and scams at worst, especially when they lead people to abandon modern medicine.

This is depressing.

Does next-of-kin get the fucktons of charity donations? Not actively trying to be “that guy”, but it shouldn’t be a secret that those sort of expenses will mess you up if not done properly. Not that it’s our business entirely. :C

A 6-year-old girl with brain tumor. Tara Strong, and in turn the brony community, raised a lot of money to pay for her medical fees. Tara herself also often visit Kiki.
 
I met Kiki’s father once, they really went through a lot. This is quite sad…
