Personally I don’t get the issue anyway, it is a nitpick. Things like this will always come to be when dealing with Localization. An example of that would be Metroid, Samus is considered a Bounty Hunter yet she takes no Bounties, because Japan has a different meaning for the word entirely. All kinds of things can be messy from localization, just have to deal with it.

I find it strange that people actually care how others spell the name.  
It’s the same word, has the same meaning, is pronounced the same - who cares if they spell it ‘Armour’?
 
And what do you mean by ‘the word it’s based on’? It is the word.

Not really something that bothers me. Now, people who mash together or separate names - like “Applebloom” or Flutter Shy” - that annoys me.
 
Incidentally, I often spell his name “Shining Armour” just to annoy people. Amazing how many people in forums dive in and ignore the content of the message just to correct spelling. Often supplemented with a rolling eyes emoticon.

If someone’s name is Color, it’s Color. If someone’s name is Armor, it’s Armor. That doesn’t change regardless of your local spelling. This has nothing to do with the word the name is based on.

Actually its Colour not Color.

It’s an armour of a different colour.

I play too much Dragon Quest to not spell it Armour outside search boxes. :T

People will always misspell the names of both him and his wife. I’ve become accustomed to that being the norm, sadly.
