actually its not. It’s just was at the end of magical mystery cure. They pretty much didn’t show her wings at all except for the beginning and the end of Equestria girls. Even the hub runs promos of her with or without wings witch is surprising. They should have enuff meterial by now

actually kind of. the guy who’s doing the comics he said he said he read a good chunk of the scripts. He said well its not changing at all. He sounded pretty disappointed too. I think the decision to give her her wings was just from Hasbro. like the previous person said everything status quo Just with wings.so I guess there’s really no need for the Wings, Hasbro just doesn’t want to get rid of them for the toy sake. which is pretty much disappointing. there might not even be a season 5 If they keep boing this. But we don’t know. He didn’t read all of them and, she might lose her wings later. It was so abrupt the show. It looks like the writers didn’t even want to give her wings

I’ve heard from multiple sources that Twilight’s personality isn’t changing and her relationships with her friends aren’t changing; Tara Strong has said Twilight’s not leaving Ponyville, though to be honest she’s been wrong before. Have we heard from anyone on the staff that nothing is changing?

Not that I don’t agree with you, I want to see some actual shit getting done now that Twilight got an upgrade. And the fact that they are ignoring this obvious change of pace is baffling to me.

it not that she doesn’t deserve to be a princess in fact there not going to change a thing literally the shows staying the same and there glancing over the who princess thing like it was nothing and that the problem you see they did it to sell there crappy toys the show is gearing towards more of a commercial and less of a show dose she need wings no dose she need to be a princess no but it would make and interesting change in the series but thee not treating it like that so basically waa waa waa i don’t like the wings waaa i just wont watch season 4

@Ferrotter I’ve never understood why people keep insisting on Twilight being portrayed as a saucy know-it-all. It makes me so mad. It’so out of character for Twilight toa “sexy, nerdy librarian”. She’s supposed to be antisocial.

I really love adorkable Ponyville librarian Twilight, long-distance student of Princess Celestia; it looks like her alicornification and coronation is going to alter that to a significant degree, if not leave it in the past altogether. However, I expect her personality won’t change much, and it’s certainly possible to get some entertaining new storylines from Twilight’s new position in life, so I’m anticipating season 4 with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. I’m not going to pass any judgment more than “I think she looks a little cuter as a unicorn” until I see how this change actually plays out.

Is that really a bad thing, though? Merchandise driven franchises will always introduce changes to sell new toys, but that doesn’t mean these changes are bad.
 
On the contrary, this change, while from the perspective of the company might have been to sell toys, can lead to some very interesting new developments on the show.
