Yes, and actually have that stick.
I would greatly appreciate that.
All they need is an episode were Twilight struggles to get over her hero worship of Celestia.
I’ll take more than two episodes
Or they can just dedicate an episode or two to exploring their relationship and establishing a new dynamic between them.
I am sorry to say the only real way to do this is to either have Twilight and Celestia run the country together And primarily show them, or focus more on her friends and have twilight out of the picture. just showing episodes of Twilight and celestia together. what else they could do was have them both lose our wings. so they’re no longer princesses and have them go back to Ponyville. there no longre student or teacher just friends. they would eventually get back there wings tho knowing hasbro. but that’s just me that’s the way I see it. other people have different opinions and respect those opinions, even though I don’t agree with.
I mean that they should show Twilight taking on more responsibility and her relationship with Celestia evolve. The show should still be mostly slice of life.
I’m sorry to tell you bro that’s exactly what they’re going to do. just with nods of her running the country. in all honesty they might take away her wings completely. one of the Creator said we don’t know what stars swirls spell does. but we don’t know for sure. This may be Catering, or this may be there acknowledgment they can’t progress her as a princess. Or maybe that belligerent guy was right and This was Hasbro’s doing, and they want to go back to status quo. I may and most likely be wrong. We’ll have to wait and see to find out
That sounds a bit negative, but yes. I think this change has a great deal of potential for good story telling, but if the writers throw away that potential and have Twilight go back to writing friendship reports, I’ll lose faith their ability to tell a good story.
So, in other words, they’ve made the bed, and thus must sleep in it.
These words are important.
Everyone take note.
this.
Are you saying the show should never do anything different because some people are afraid of change?
looks like you right. I’ll look and see but that’s all. i wasn’t to happy with season three. in my opinion I’m surprises they go another season. In all honesty i don’t want my twilight to change. It didn’t need to happen. A lot of people would fell better if it did changed back me included. don’t try to tell me different cus you know its true. i may just watch other pony episodes. but knowing me I’ll drop it entirely
Look, I can understand that you’re not happy with Twilight’s alicornification and princessification; like Bobby Curnow, my first reaction when I heard of it was “This isn’t going to work”, and I’m still skeptical. But season 4 is being handled by a lot of the same people who have worked on the show all along, and while season 3 was weaker than the first two seasons, it was still pretty good and certainly not bad enough to make me lose faith in the show staff. And what the show staff is saying about Twilicorn (i.e., her character’s not changing, but she’ll have new responsibilities (hopefully, new adventures)) is about the best I could hope for heading into the new season.
I can’t make you watch the new season, and to be honest I don’t really want to try. But unless you just really hated all of season 3, I do think you’d be better off at least checking out how they handle Twilight, or even just watching the episodes without her if it bothers you that much.
p.s. i can read this guys comets just fine. you just have to read slowly. his rants are very long winded.
I could partially understand you, but check your grammar, bro. It’ts hard to take you seriously.
Alright, I’m not even gonna try to read that comment, because you are not even attempting to type sentences at this point.
no it dos not mean stop the show i mans go back to status qua in fact if it was mentioned and didn’t happen no drama would acre and if the wings are gone people who doped the show will come back people who don’t like the change will be OK and people who like her wings will hope she gets them back all i have to say is the show should ended with her getting her wings no one could really bull s*** about it if its over but the Hasbro pushed it to sell crap mrch and we all have to suffer and if your to blind to see that then shut up
So, what you’re saying is that having a character who’s a friend and protégé of one princess, and a friend of another princess, and showing her living in a small town and befriending the other Elements of Harmony, is great writing; and showing that character being promoted to princesshood, but not changing her personality or friendships, is bad writing?
“take the dam wings off”
Thats basically saying stop the show.
What’s done is done.
They better go somewhere with this.
but if she doesn’t change and shes equal that just bad writing then cus she has changes and she is not equal no mater how you try to put it she has to be different there is no way around it all i know is take her dame wings off already that fixes all the problems
Giving some support to supermanhulkjesus’s comment, here’s the relevant part of Bobby Curnow’s first post on the subject:
So again, Twilight’s not changing, her relationships with her friends are not changing, but he does mention “new responsibilities and new opportunities”.
Basically, unless someone can point me to where someone on the show staff said that “nothing’s changing”, I’m just trying to point out that there’s a rather large middle ground between “nothing’s changing” and “Twilight’s changed and no longer fits in with the Mane
65”.You’ve taken what he said out of context. He said that she has more responsibility now, so something has changed. What he said hasn’t changed is that she’s still Twilight, and her friends are still her friends.
Twilight has been a princess for less than five minutes on the show, so none of us can comment on how much or little has changed or if it is for better or worse.
