I thought it was the funniest moment in the entire season because I knew it’d cause a shitstorm. I think if they keep him in the background things should be okay. If he got some actual character development too, that’d be great, but I don’t foresee that happening on the show.
“You guys gotta remember that to the little kids that watched EQG and liked it, seeing flash again was a really neat nod for them! I mean I’ve gone to restaurants and seen little kids watching EQG on their parents ipads and all I can think is “When this see this they’ll point him out and be like “hey he’s the guy from the movie!” and that makes me really happy
i didn’t really enjoy EQG either guys but do some of you really need to go around flinging desperate accussations and insults at show staff at the fact that, amongst references to flashdance, fear and loathing in las vegas, star wars, dune, risky business, etc, they wanted to give a little nod to their own movie as well? like, those references are ENTIRELY for the older crowd but then they throw in a nod to their own movie that many kids of the main demographic enjoyed and i see people get upset? ??
he didnt even talk or play a role he just showed up! please don’t send meghan/show staff threats over it jeez”
I was more amused that he showed up than anything else. The butthurt is hilariously stupid and shouldn’t be butthurt at all. He was confirmed to be a royal guard. Therefore he’s a royal guard here.
The general opinion I’m getting is most don’t care, and the few that do care (negatively) are just really, really loud. Although of those few, how many are genuine versus who’s just fanning the flames is probably even lower.
@Astronomus
I’m just seeing quite a lot of hate and rage about this guy, and I kinda want to make sure that it was just a loud minority.
Judging by the poll so far, most of us are happy or indifferent to it, so that makes me rest a lot easier, as I’m sure it will other members of the ’booru.
