“Pissed off” is a bit strong a phrase, but I did not like him showing up. Meghan’s gotta stop making promises she can’t/won’t keep.

Of course, now that Flash has become a noticeable background pony, everyone has to flip shit and prove their worth because Flash is SERIOUSLY MENACING their waifu. He was there for all of 5 seconds screen time. McCarthy said he wasn’t going to become a character. This doesn’t mean it’s not possible to be a extra in a scene especially involving the Crystal Empire. I can understand if they didn’t enjoy the character from the flat performance in EQG, but christ sakes! It’s been months and the writers/episode crew is getting hate tweets/mail.
 
I honestly have no opinion on Flash Sentry. He was a poorly executed character who got moved to the background right after, essentially making him a wasted character who could have been re-evaluated. Several parties are currently spilling their spaghetti everywhere over a character Hasbro didn’t know what to do with.(Twilight may be-extremely evident from my time on Derpibooru-my favorite but the lengths some people go to is mind numbingly insane!) This is incredibly ridiculous, if they want to re-introduce Flash, go ahead, I sincerely hope they expound upon his character! Though it’s been uttered across all counts he was just a silly little appearance for one episode. I’d like to just watch a show about technicolor ponies having adventures and worship it in peace instead of having to see more pointless conflict started over miniscule details.

I’m glad, and I hope this is the start of him coming back to be Twilight’s love interest. I thought he had an interesting character and there’s a lot of potential there.

You know what’s more disheartening? That it’s not entirely unjustified.

I was kinda happy to see him. I’d like it if the show retooled his character. I also would mind if he really did end up with Twilight (granted the shitstorm from that would be unimaginable).

I don’t blame any of the staff for this or McCarthy but if she hadn’t posted that tweet saying wouldn’t appear in this season(even thought it wasn’t her fault and had no way of knowing this would happen)then the nutcases wouldn’t have the slim sliver of non-existent justification that they think they have and instead of arging over whether he was a character or what not, all they could have done was say “grah flash sentry!that really rustles my jimmies rawr”
