@ColdhardSilver
Ah, I see. Nice example by the way. That is a very good point.
Right hate is a bit strong, AJ was being brash as well as unreasonable. She really wasn’t being suspicious of her since she had no doubt in her mind that Zecora was ‘evil’. If she were suspicious then she’d be iffy on that thought.
@Leapingriver
No necessarily; if was acting questionable and rude online and then told you that I am black, that doesn’t excuse my behavior as my race has gives no context to my acts and is inconsequential to the matter at hand.
Just, because AJ learned that the weird pony was really a weird zebra that doesn’t block the “weird” aspect. :P
Also I wouldn’t say AJ hated her as much as it was just AJ being suspicious and brash.
@Japanese Teeth
Hmmmm point taken.
Although… doesn’t Applejack continue to hate Zecora even after Twi tells her she’s a zebra? So wouldn’t that push it into bias against a race?
But yes, I suppose for now I’ll just say she was being prejudice. (Which isn’t the same as racism people).
The breezie on the right totally has Nightmare Rarity’s mane:
@Leapingriver
Just to nitpick: It’s not racism if the prejudice isn’t based on race. As noted, AJ wasn’t scared of Zecora because Zecora was a zebra; they didn’t didn’t even know that she wasn’t a pony. They were afraid because they thought she was acting weird.
Which is still prejudice and judging someone without really understanding them, but it isn’t racism.
Excluding their eyelashes, they look pretty reasonably sized. Their original counter parts were too bulky to be fairy-like.
Though after playing bravely Default I no longer trust fairies. =.=
