Not all of the arguments being made here are merely “headcanon”. When the show got started, Faust made a point of clearly defining certain world-building elements. That’s one of the things that made the show more interesting than it might have otherwise been.

Well heres something.
 
The character can be as strong or weak at anytime the writers choose them to be at that time, and it will be canon.
 
Applying long term fanfictions to the pony races, ect and expecting everyone to just accept it as fact, is just silly. And if it gets crushed by canon later on will just cause personal problems fueling butthurt.
 
Better off just trying to enjoy the toyline based pony cartoon.

Simple: Pinkie’s a cartoon character. Obviously everyone on the show is a cartoon character, but Pinkie’s the only one who acts like it. The rest of the FiM universe has a set of clearly defined rules about what can and cannot happen or exist, but Pinkie is the only character allowed to break those rules. Her abilities aren’t some magic power, it’s the result of her being a straight-up Looney Tune in a non-Looney Tunes world.

Ok, I don’t know if anyone’s noticed yet, but that helicopter is pedal powered. Meaning it’s just a fancier versions of Pinkie’s homemade copter. Not really anything new other than it being used by a non-Pinkie pony.

I am under the assumption that Pinkie is an eldritch abomination.

Pinkie’s magic seems to be just that, Pinkie’s magic. Same with Cheese Sandwich.
 
It’s like some kinda party magic. No information on requirements to get or use it, maybe you just gotta party a lot or somethin.
 
I think the big joke is that it is unexplained.

How do we explain Pinkie Pie’s abilities without mentioning magic?

I personally would like to think it is because earth pony magic exists but I can not say that is canon because it would be speculation.
 
Direct to the canon material it has not been stated that Earth Pony Magic exists. It could exists but stating so currently is fanon.
 
Until Hearth Warming EVE it would have been fanon to say unicorns can raise the sun, until Magic Duel Alicorn was a fanon term. Maybe in future, they release episode, earth pony magic is mentioned, boom canon.
 
You seem to be under the impression I don’t want it to exist or think their is no way it does exist. That is not true, when I first heard it was fanon I did a long search for evidence, but in the end their was no mention of magic besides the Lauren quote.
 
That is how I found out it is non canon. Until it is mentioned Earth Pony Magic will only exist in speculation of what might have been and not what appeared in the show.

False. Nowhere is it stated that do to ingrained ability can an earth pony do anything extra. It has never been said they are stronger or the reason they are better farmers because their race alone.
