Actually, you’re looking at them. Those adorable creatures who are teaching Nightmare Moon about dreams ARE the host bodies for the Nightmare Forces. In one page you can even see a happy and hardworking Larry…

Yea, I just went through to change the tags. Thse are nyx, and we know they eventually get corrupted to become nightmare creatures, but right now, they’re simply accepting of NMM being there, unaware she’s evil.

I was thinking the same thing. Given that we are dealing NMM, I find it hard to believe that was unintentional.

There is still no sign of the “Nightmare Forces” in this comic. We don’t yet know if they are supposed to already be a part of Luna or if they will be introduced later in the story.

this might explain why ponies even know about her, since the season 4 openers revealed that she didn’t really do anything or have time to and no one saw he other than Celestia.

……… i have a universe of issues with this. for starters, why would she JUST be learning it here. and why would the world not be consumed by nightmares?  
if she is not sealed or unconscious, why would she just stay there and NOT fly back? i mean we are given 0 indications that she couldn’t leave here.

It is like this franchise’s equivalent of Midi-chlorian.

Look at the previous pages - this is not “Luna” but the forces that took her over (they talk about being back here on the moon “again” which itself ties back to issue #24 the CMC/Discord/FS one). Taking the Nightmarity arc, this fits right in - Luna, however, despite not being the dominate personality, may be learning how to dreamwalk from this.

Oh for fuck sake. So luna learned how to see dreams through cute little creatures on the fucking moon? Never mind the fact that faust herself said luna was kinda not concious/asleep when she was there, she is the protector of the night and has been since before she was banished. How much canon are these writers going to fucking mutilate? It’s so stupid, twilight not acting like twilight, dragons living in a city no one knows about… do they even watch the cartoon? Seriously fuck it, i’m done with these comics.
