No, you’re thinking of the Hivehand. I’m talking about the Tau Cannon. You first aquire it in the chapter Questionable Ethics (If you didn’t pick it up there, you retrieve it later in the chapter Lambda Core.) and it has two modes of fire: The primary fire launches gauss lasers, while the alt fire allows you to charge the weapon like Mega Man’s arm cannon (Don’t charge it too long, though, because the weapon will overheat and cause self-damage.).
 
On an unrelated note, whose idea was it to change Derpy’s name to Muffins, anyway? It’s stupid!

I’d love it if they went with plot B. and instead of having it be a kind gesture, portray it as Sombra tormenting spike with the realization that he’ll eventually grow up to be a monstrous dragon and be rejected by his friends.

Well, the team blew it up…if there was ever a chance of seeing King Sombra throwing Spike a birthday party and made it fit within the show narrative, it was in the most recent epsiode.

Considering that scripts (especially first drafts) are done before storyboards, I don’t think it’s certain the “Luna Eclipsed” storyboard was done before the “The Last Roundup” script. Besides, I’m not trying to prove “Derpy” was never used by the staff, just that “Ditzy” sometimes was.
 
I’m in 100% agreement about not panicking over “Derpy” vs. “Muffins”, though. How many people use the name “Sweetie Drops”, after all?

Derpy products almost always have her name written as “Derpy” underneath with the trademark logos and all that. There’s no need to spread panic like that, whatever they call her, they know as well as we do what her real name is. And I am totally fine with them calling her anything at all, so long as no-one tries to claim that’s her new official name. Both in the company and fandom, Derpy’s name has been cemented. It’s never changing.
 
Also with these Amy and Lauren quotes, you guys are ignoring an earlier bit of evidence. The storyboard for the Nightmare Night episode, Derpy’s third foreground appearance, referred to her as Derpy. Ditzy was going to be used because the staff made the same connection we did. A name without a pony, a pony without a name. But before Amy used that in her script, she was called Derpy. If you’re gonna talk about her name in a matter of fact way, do some more research please. Getting tired of repeating myself.
