I dont think they would be in charge of the comics though. Just the games, Sega can still do the comics though. I am aware that they are overly protective on their IPS(Nintendo has a good reason so they dont let saps like Uwe Boll butcher them and give em a bad name).
 
Besides. Nintendo seems to be the place to put Sonic in the right place when it comes to gaming since they know the hedgehog more than what Sega is doing to him at the moment.

That’s something I find kind of odd, they still let Super Mario-Kun be made and the Zelda mangas but they are adaptations/retellings of the game stories.  
They seem to not want anything too different for the stuff in the games anymore.

As much as I love Nintendo, I don’t think I’d want them to buy off Sonic, or Sega really. Mostly, ‘cause I fear if they do they’ll cancel the official Sonic comics, and stuff, sense Nintendo is kinda against having comics, and stuff based on their properties usually. (They’re very overly-protective of their properties.)
 
Though, I do hear Sonic games tend to sell best on Nintendo ironically.

I know that they laid off the people who worked on the lackluster that is Sonic boom, but this one is news to me. If anyone should buyout Sega completely. Its Nintendo. Let alone that Nintendo has a few people that are fans of Sega’s other IPS.

Well, I’m glad the Sonic games/comics are still around, (good or bad) but I do wish like Nintendo they would occasionally bring their other series back. (Nintendo is finally bringing back “Star Fox.”)
 
Problem is, Sega’s been having financial difficulties lately, so they can’t really afford to make many games lately, and making games is quite expensive, and risky for them now. I heard they had to lay off alot of employees to. Though, didn’t Sega buy another game company recently?
 
I just hope to God Microsoft, or EA, or something doesn’t buy them off, or something… Then Sega would become like Rareware. (God how I miss Rare.)

The funny thing is, alot of bronies do like StH, regardless of the “Sonic drama” we get here sometimes. Alot of bronies on DA, and such places love both MLP & Sonic.

True, I do prefer Mario & Nintendo over Sonic & Sega.  
Though, don’t get me wrong, Streets of Rage, Ecco, Shinobi were cool games too though. (I also like alot of Nintendo series to.)  
Sega should pull a “Nintendo” and bring back their other old series, or hire developers to help make them. (M2 does a good job on the 3DS Eshop’s “Sega 3D Classic” games.)

With Mario 64, the glitches are either the result of hacking or just exploiting the game in anyway you can, in ways that no reasonable gamer could/would pull off.
In Sonic Boom/Sonic 06 it’s just shitty game design/coding
 
and being able to skip large parts of the game by jumping backwards in certain areas is good game coding in what way

How about we recognize both franchises have their qualities and their flaws ?  
About Sonic,sure,the franchise dont really know what direction to take at this time but does this mean people werent entertained by the classic Genesis Sonic games and Sonic Adventures,by Sonic CD or Generations ? Sonic have a (way bigger) hit and miss ratio but in the end,does it really matter ? As long as we remember the best and forget the rest (and that you have fun playing),it’s all that matter in the end.

Mario will probably still look very similar 50 years from now. Sega would change Sonic into a space marine if they thought it would make them money.
 
Intent doesn’t matter as much to me as the final product, honestly. It’s not like Nintendo makes games without money in mind, at any rate.

Rise of Lyric was from running it and kind of easy to skip over things.
 
Didn’t all you have to do was jump backwards in a certain spot to skip large parts of the game in 64, though?

I almost read Rise of Lyric as Rise of the Triad.
If you want to refer to it, please, very please, always use the name Sonic Boom, not just Rise of Lyric.
 
There’s more than one Sonic Boom game though, and another one is on the way ..
 
I mean, I will say referring to it as RoL is a force of habit because I use a Sonic messageboard first and foremost, but still man ..
