Hi, delayed reaction. While a lot of people tend to associate Starlight Glimmer with whatever political faction they hate just because she’s an evil politician, her philosophy and behavior are an uncannily accurate match for groups who preach anti~~”social justice” stereotypes. For a few relevant examples:
Starlight Glimmer’s intolerant philosophy is based upon demonizing any more accepting mindset along with anyone who holds it, portraying it as inherently irrational and wrong and inevitably causing harm. She and her followers have a very specific idea of exactly what that mindset entails, which she feels (or claims) is mutually inclusive with having a cutie mark, though in practice they disapprove of anyone having a cutie mark or any other “special snowflake” features, even if they don’t actually fit the stereotype beyond these slight superficial elements. Her followers believe so strongly in these stereotypes that when contronted with situations that don’t support their beliefs, they have trouble comprehending them, often responding to explanations by simply repeating their elaborate prejudices even when the evidence directly contradicts them.
When someone goes against Starlight’s cult, she punishes them by isolating them and bombarding them with propaganda messages. While she presents this as a helpful reminder of the “truth”, much like some groups claim they’re just “challenging the position” of their victims, both she and her victims know full well that the whole point is to harass and emotionally abuse people until they’re too afraid to step out of line.
And, of course, there’s the fact that the very core of her philosophy is to suppress everything that makes a pony special or different. She doesn’t even try to link her brand of equality to “equal treament” for disadvantaged groups, she’s openly trying to erase the groups themselves by making everyone as similar as possible.
I could to on. She has a lot in common with the sort of people who believe those stereotypes, and the way people present her as an example of those stereotypes just goes to show how shaky and unfocused the anti~~”warrior” war is.

Uh, no. The principal flaw of the ‘social justice warrior’ movement, aside from their inherent lack of rationality, is that they cannot function in places where the things they’re “fighting for” don’t already exist. In other words, in the absence of social justice, there is also an absence of social justice “warriors”, because these people don’t actually fight for social justice, they just relentlessly harass the people they’ve decided are not representing it in the way they want. Meaning their existence is redundant, which only magnifies their annoying nature.
Further, as is evidenced by third-wave feminism and HAES, the people who call themselves SJWs, or who earn the moniker, aren’t actually the least bit interested in real social justice. What they want is for the world to cater to their desires and insecurities, and they have no problems with screaming harassment at people who won’t give in to their demands, even where doing so is either logically impractical, physically impossible, or both.

As you’ve already pointed out, Starlight’s entire ideology is based on suppressing any form of individuality, for the sake of making everybody the same. It’s literally the opposite of what the slur is meant to demonize, and the rest of her and her cult’s oppressive behavior is an uncannily accurate representation of certain groups who engage in said demonization. Of course, it also matches many of the stereotypes these people like to use, but that sort of thing is not exactly unprecedented.

Are you even reading what you are writing? Everything you’ve posted so far is nothing but a half-assed retort of the variety a child or early teenager would use. I imagine that your rabid, idiotic defense of a pseudo-organization of people with delusions of rights activism when really they’re just whining at people who are inherently better than them indicates that you are one of them.

You don’t know what a SJW is, do you? Considering they take any challenge to their perspective as harassment, basically anybody who’s not one of them is treated as an enemy. So yes, just like Starlight here.

Starlight Glimmer’s behavior and apparent mentality is almost perfectly identical to those of SJWs. That is, everybody can only be truly equal if nobody has any outstanding abilities or traits of any kind.

OH! That’s why you look familiar! Now, to be honest with you, I thought you said ‘cerebral digression,’ since, well, who doesn’t love a good distraction? Problem was, my baker at the time had run away with my party planner/balloon artist to who-knows-where, so I had to hire someone with very little Insubstantial Baking experience. He was able to make some buzz word punch and propaganda cookies, but that was the extent of his skill. Needless to say, it took a while for me to find someone who could do Sugar Belle’s job, and I still haven’t found a replacement for Party Favor. But that’s just some rambling. Do you have a receipt?

I’m talking about when I was here yesterday for that cerebral oppression for a party of about 2000. The product you provided fell apart under mere scrutiny. I had to hold things from falling apart at the seams by abandoning reason altogether, and belittling any who dissented. It worked, but only temporarily. Now everyone thinks I’m a bad person. How do you expect to make this up to me?
