Huh. Funny enough, I have also switched over to almond milk as my main milk source as of late. Not because of health reasons. It has more vitamins in it and has a longer fridge life. So I guess I am helping my body out before reading that article. Neat.

I found some of my ancient internet posts from when I was a teen. Apparently teenage me thought himself to be the ‘nice guy’ part of the whole ‘friendzone’ type of bullshit. (Though I never dated or had any girls who I knew outside of classes so doubly what the fuck past self) Teenagers are fucking awful; I know because I was one :P

Then again, she is still young. I know very well how naive the mindset of a teen can be when it comes to world view like this. They’re just beginning to see the world, yet they don’t quite exactly know the big picture usually until they reach adulthood. Being in a similar position myself years back…

Like everything else in the world, there is a grain of truth to the “Cow Milk Is Bad” rhetoric. I had to do a research project on milk in my senior year of Chemical Engineering, so i know a lot more about it than I ever wanted to.
 
Here are some FACTS:
 
-The best milk for Humans is Human Milk. Cow milk is for cow consumption. Why is this bad? Compare the size of the average human with the size of the average adult cow. Cow’s milk has much more fat, since it is designed for a much larger organism that will grow much quicker than any human child. This is in addition to other enzymes and such that cow milk has that humans do not require.
 
-If you are looking for a comparable kind of milk to human milk without getting Sex Offender registration, goat milk is actually the closest of the produced milks. Exceptionally healthy for humans, and much easier to store and keep fresh (I won’t bore you with the details).
 
About Ms. Corlett. She’s sharp, like all teenagers, but we all seem to forget what it is like to be that age. She isn’t WRONG. A lot of what she’s said is absolutely true. She, however, does not have the real world experience to truly understand how these things work.
 
She supports switching to a vegan diet, OK. Plant life is already being used mostly for food, in one way or another. Also, technologies are rising to turn agriculture products into fuels. Simply put, this ‘solution’ isn’t sustainable either, because there isn’t enough usable farmland or infrastructure to facilitate it.
 
The issue a lot of people have, children and adults, is that they solve one problem and then pat themselves on the back. That change has effects further down the line, which is why people like me have jobs. It’s our job to take issues like this from ‘Cradle to Grave’, as the saying goes. If you solve a global problem with a ‘simple plan’, I can guarantee you just made five more because you didn’t stop to consider the other changes you are causing. Look up the use of Oil Dispersants in the BP Gulf Oil Spill if you want a great example of that.
