Ok. Am I first in saying that this is WAY too similar to Party Pooped? A lot shorter too in many ways. Characters are different but thats mostly it. It’s like the writer took the script from Party Pooped, changed location and characters and said “that’ll do”.

I never said that he should have nor expected him to be. I just said that I think that the characterization expressed serves more the purpose of making him an enjoyable character instead as a redemption tool as some expected or currently see it as.“Shining isn’t a diplomat he’s a defender and nobody needed defending so of course he wasn’t going to Shine in some super role.”
I didn’t mean that either. I said that Shining isn’t really played to his character traits; his laid back attitude, his corniness, etc minus this monologue and the cart trip to Yakistan. To give an example, take Fluttershy out of a pet or shyness related story and her interactions with others will still be different from the other manes due to the traits she posses. I see shining armor, other characters are calling him shining armor, but he isn’t really acting or speaking like him for the most part. You know what I mean?
