lol, i keep forgetting that this is the mlp fandom and everyone must always and forever be mad.
i think of all of the new creature designs i’ve seen so far grubber might be my favorite. capper’s cool looking but he has kind of an air of feline smugness about him, which i can only assume suits his character but at the same just seems a little off-putting. i like celeano’s design but her design is so strikingly different it almost looks like she came from an entirely separate show. what i like about this guy is that of all the new character designs i’ve seen so far, his seems the least like the usual “funny animal”-type anthro and more like an entirely foreign creature, with some very cool disney-esque visual influence. not that i take issue with funny animals at all; it’s just a matter of personal preference.
honestly these character reveals are leaving me REALLY hyped for the movie. it comes out just a day after my birthday so i was already excited, but now i’m straight up pumped!
@J4m35
Most likely they are the villains the Mane 6 have to beat, the naive and close off natives the Mane 6 show the world to, and the more Rogue like selfish characters whom the Mane 6 show the benefit of opening up to.
Just took a step back and checked the character reveal tag. Looked at some of the other reveals I haven’t seen. I swear I haven’t laughed like that in a while. This is all so amazing. I might have to hide that tag or something to avoid lurking in any more of these drama sessions.
For awhile now. Ponies have been the defacto human models in MLP FiM, just like the player characters in Maplestory. Before some point in the game’s history. The only enemies were either animals or other sapient non-human creatures.

My thoughts as well, if the movie ends up being shit feel free to criticize it but at least watch it first. At least let it stand up before you punch it into the ground.
@FeroxUltrus
It’s because this seems to indicate the movie following standard children’s movie fare which many do not want as the show has a reputation of being “More than just a kid’s show” and thus wanted more serious fare.
