happens more often than I’d like, tbh. There’s a lot of things here that frustrate me, which I usually tend to ignore, especially in the community, but DA still has it worse, both the community echo chambers and the Staff of the site, of which I can’t say which of the two issues is worse.

I think this image suffered from being one of the first “Pride” images on the site this month, so it seems to have gotten rather unfair treatment. Hopefully other images that join it this month will receive more welcome and that the comments will remain constructive from this point forward.

The DeviantArt comments are taking this so much better the ones here on Derpibooru.

I won’t debate with you the existence of an echo chamber, of a site that hosts an Anti-SJW massive thread, but no Pro-SJW one. I’m not siding with any side, I hate both just as much, that’s all I’m saying, I find either side to be reprehensible and deplorable, because they’re stupid and they love basking in their own filth, as well as pat themselves on the back, read stories they like to read from their perspective and aggrandizing their standing, etc etc.
 
 
as for my explanation, why do you find it so unreasonable to think this is just something that the artist MIGHT not have been so serious about, but you somehow find it reasonable that it was ALL AGENDA DRIVEN and malicious!?

Aren’t you doing the same thing you claim they are? It’s not just that more people dislike the image than like it, it’s a conspiracy and nothing else. It HAS to be a conspiracy with muh anti-sjw echo chambers. There is no other explanation because YOU THINK they do this all the time. Any other explanation is “just one way to interpret it.” or “it could all just be a silly idea.” It IS a conspiracy against anything you agree with and is never just people who disagree with and/or don’t like something.

In real life, the only practical difference is the personality of the person. Bisexual means being attracted to both men and women, while pansexual is being attracted to “all genders”. The term “pansexual” has more of an edge to it than “bisexual”, since the nature of the word asserts that there are more than two genders. As a result, at least from my experience, more belligerent and hipster-y people tend to use “pansexual”, while more passive people use “bisexual”.

Are you implying the concept is not the subject matter of the picture?
 
If it was just the ponies, that’d be one thing, but the flags are also displayed promptly over a white background with no other distractions. Then there’s the meta; the author’s intentions behind the image. Those are also taken into account to a degree (the degree of which they are taken to account is a whole other conversation). However, to imply that the concept of a sexuality spectrum itself is not a main subject of the image is just a stretch as best and downright disingenuous at worst.
 
EVEN SO, I have my reasons for downvoting, as described in my previous comment, and so did everyone else who downvoted (maybe). Your assumptions imply that people are looking for this image only to downvote it, and I just do not think that’s the case.
 
Otherwise there’d be waaay more downvotes.

And yes, there are undoubtedly people who downvoted this image because they disagree with the concept of a sexuality spectrum, but, for one: that’s still how they see things and it’s not your place to tell them otherwise, and the reverse is also true, and for two: nobody’s gonna want to talk to you if you go and preemptively ostracize all downvoters based on assumed intentions, so you won’t ever even know why they downvoted it.

I don’t go out of my way to look for pics I dislike just to downvote them (and I don’t think many people do), I filter tags I actively hate, but when I happen to run into something I hate - usually blatant mouthpieces like this one, regardless of WHAT agenda the author has, mouthpieces are garbage - I’m downvoting it.
