@Micro-Cyberbrony
“Alternate timeline” is the key word here. Nothing that has or will happen in canon, in either time frame or physical locality, has to have any bearing on this comic.
@darknessRising24
Right. But still, Sombra was turned to shadow and banished into a void. And he was only in season 3.
If you’re saying that this is an alternate timeline from way back in season one, then how could he appear before season 3?
@Micro-Cyberbrony
Uh dude? I think you’ve forgotten something: This is an alternate timeline that diverges waaaaay back in season one. Spike never went with Twilight to Ponyvillie, Luna came back from her 1000-year banishment freed from Nightmare Moon’s influence, the Elements of Harmony were never recovered, Discord has yet to be freed and/or reformed (and that’s assuming he’s still alive seeing as his severed hand is seen in Celestia’s grasp during one of Spike’s flashbacks) , and God knows what Chrysalis is up to…
@Micro-Cyberbrony
I feel like that was less of a direct physical representation of what happened to her and more of a mental representation, like she’s trapped mentally and someone is pulling her strings. Considering the fact that this is an alternate timeline where the elements were needed to cure a Luna, it might be possible that Sombra may have returned earlier than the Empire itself, and is working behind the scenes, controlling and manipulating Celestia…
@darknessRising24
They do, but the REAL Celestia can use both hate and love magic, as shown in “The Crystal Empire”, parts one and 2.
Besides, Sombra was completely destroyed. Unless his horn was found by Chrysalis, then the situation would be logical.
I’m still inclined to Chrysalis taking over, unknown to everyone else, since we saw the real Celestia trapped in spiked vines of some sort under the throne room, which is weird considering changelings usually trap their prisoners in cocoons.
@ShimmeringStallion
Actually, it would be XD And given how she sounded with that proper inspiration line would work, but besides Spike’s goods, I bet it was his muscles she referred to as well
