Fallout 3 is still the best game in the franchise and Obsidian is overrated. Your point?
This online service shit is a fad nothing more, nobody will be playing these games after 10 years, they have no lasting draw to them.
Fallout 4 was generic though I’ll give you that.
So about the game, so far we know quite a few things actually.
It’s an online survival game in the Fallout Universe. It’s very unique setting-wise since it’s only 25-30 years after the bombs fell, so the Wasteland will be a complete and utter wasteland as we’ve never seen it before.
We’ll be playing as the occupants of Vault 76 charged with mission of restoring the America after the war. We’re the very first Vault that opened in a planned manner so there will be a lot to do, the entire world is still fresh after devastation.
Survival, pvp, crafting and settlement management will most likely be at the core of gameplay. They’re trying to get the PUBG and Fortnite audience, so forget about teamwork ;)
And now the most important rumor, since it’s an online game only… MODS WILL BE ILLEGAL. You won’t be able to mod anything since it’ll influence the Online Game Experience. That was their plan all along, only Bethesda will be selling “original” mods that are allowed.
Long story short: It’s an Online Survival with a Fallout label, they’ll try to lure the BattleRoyale audience for quick dollar grab from their mods.

Vault 76 opened just 20 years after the Great War. The rest were designed (most of the time) to last 200 years, 10 times longer.
