You literally obsess over something that, in the grand scheme of things, doesn’t really matter. It’s not healthy at all.  
You seem to think that because FIM isn’t as popular as it was back then that it won’t be fondly remembered. Well people are still doing art and still love the show right? Granted it’s not as big as it was back then, butbits still there.  
Losing it over such minute details isn’t a good thing. You seem to have that problem. Honestly I suggest seeking professional help or not losing your marbles over things that aren’t gonna affect you at all.

I’d make Grogar the real villain, for one.
 
And shows like Star vs. the Forces of Evil deserve harsh criticism for how badly the writers botched the finale. A badly written finale for a show can ruin a thing just as badly, if not worse than harsh criticism. Game of Thrones’s finale was so bad that you don’t see people talking about it anymore.

Instead of saying: “The writing needs to be better and not be rushed”, which it’s less harsh, It has gone to “Fuck your writing, it’s bad and you should be ashamed of yourself because it’s badly written and you deserve to be shat on”. At least that’s what your opinion feels like.
 
Not to mention harsh criticism, imho, ruins a thing for everyone, not just MLP, but also shows like Steven Universe, Voltron: Legendary Defender and Star vs. the Forces of Evil.

Learn to be pleased whether you like it or not. And don’t think it’s preventing you from criticism, because you can criticize, but let people like what they like. This is why MLP is now unpopular and has no chance of redemption.

The finale was badly written, plain and simple.
 
There’s a reason a not-insignificant portion of the fanbase pretends that the finale, and Season 9 as a whole didn’t happen.

Agreed. Seasons 1-4 were classic. Seasons 5 and 7 were a mixed bag, and seasons 6, 8, and 9 were godawful abominations that should never have happened.

Grogar seemed like he could’ve possibly beaten Celestia with his given power levels say, 50-100 years prior, so it might’ve been questionable, how he didn’t do anything before he did, to begin with. Either way, in hindsight, it was obvious that they were setting Grogar up to be backstabbed, with him none the wiser, even if it weren’t for the Discord twist. Frenemies started that trend, The Summer Sun Setback kinda sealed it.

One problem with the disappearances/appearances perfection is
 
They don’t really matter Discord can be in two places at once and I believe he either was when Sombra was vanquished or just recorded that and the timing didn’t matter

And sending them out on an obvious team building exercise where they almost kind of become friends a little bit. I agree it was intended.

Actually, in hindsight, it’s painfully obvious that they were planning for the twist since at least the season 9 premiere, given that they timed Discord’s disappearances with Grogar’s appearances perfectly, Discord repeatedly brought up how Twilight should gain confidence by defeating Sombra without anyone else’s help, as well as the fact that Grogar himself ended up being a really flat character who never really did anything aside from lurking around in his lair and telling the villains to wait for the whole season before they did anything.
 
So if anyone’s gonna change the twist, they would have to rewrite the entire season (or at least the Discord and Legion of Doom parts), not just the finale.
