- I’m a Scout Leader, and I’ve noticed something similar in my troop over the last 30 years…we were relatively-adventurous teenagers back in the 90s; the kids in the troop now just want to sit and play with their phones, and aren’t interested in taking part in any actual Scout activities…and then their parents pull them out of Scouting because “we aren’t doing enough Scouting”, when it’s not our fault.

That’s just sad. Ironically, I am paying my condolesence to you through a smartphone, which means I can NOT do anything about it.
