Maybe some of them don’t like the referential humor overdosage that some of the comics have put out?
 
It doesn’t bother me that much, to be honest- usually the actually cringeworthy parts of it are fixed up by the ponies by the end of the issue, and the other parts usually breeze by so quickly that they’re completely gone within a page or so.

whoa really, i’m not the only person that thing the comic aren’t canon, that so cool, i really thought it was just me, well if i had to guess, will for me anyway, i feel that the comic are just fan pandering, are the background BG ponies know by there fan names there and the main six don’t feel like the main six to me here, they feel complete different. well that my view on the thing.

and before that episode aired someone asked the comic writer if that was proof she was the writer and he (or was she?) answered “or could be a prize named after daring do! i left it open to interpretation!”  
why is some people so obsessed with the comics being not canon? they make the FIM universe bigger! they should be happy, i don’t understand.

It is explicit this is the “fictional” version of Daring Do pulled from the books - implying the real version of Daring is simultaneously out there too (but does not appear otherwise).

and heres the comics saying the not canon again, daring do still a fictional character, or is this just the comic version of her and the really version of her somewhere else, ahhhhhhhh headach.

Soooo all the fictional characters get released with some kind of ponified Maleficent leading them, and Ponyville gets destroyed… again. I wonder if they ever get sick of rebuilding it?
