1)“So what if it’s reductive”
Because, it’s “reducing” meaningful information out of the equation. I don’t give a fuck about the mars example. It’s irrelevant. Glass the fucking planet for all I care. If there is life on mars, it’s not a moral issue, it’s an important scientific issue because it tells us that life is probably common in the universe. We don’t give a fuck about the rights of the microbes.
“Also, consciousness doesn’t determine life.”
I don’t give a shit about “life” in that clinical of a sense. A turd is full of microbes that are alive. I don’t give a fuck about that life either.
“Do we kill a person who’s in a coma if the person is still alive and breathing?”
If they are a vegetable with no possibility of recovering their conscious existence, then yes, generally. A blastocyst doesn’t have a consciousness to even return to. It’s a fictional person you’re worried about at that point. The person in a coma only has value in the first place because they were conscious, they were, ya know, a real person. A clump of cells that never had consciousness in the first place isn’t. What, do you think we care about people for some reason outside of their conscious experience?
2)“BS. We’re not animals. We cannot all be whores. It’s not a matter of personal distaste, it’s a matter of personal responsibility for our actions. “
You might as well have just inserted “REEEEEEEEEEEE” here, because you’ve made no argument beyond stamping your feet. It is a matter of personal distaste, and whining about it being yucky to you does nothing to make the argument more objective.
3)“I could ask you the same thing about what’s wrong with rape?”
No, you couldn’t. Rape causes suffering to the person being fucking raped. Rape is a violation of someone. It’s not wrong “jus cuz”.
“Sex without consequence leads to STDs, like HIV and AIDS.”
This is a contradictory statement. If it leads to STD’s then it isn’t without consequence.
“Not everybody wants to use condoms. This leads to complete sexual immorality.”
Why’s it “immoral”? If you’re going to bother typing up this much shit, could you at least try to make an argument beyond “REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ITS IMMORAL CAUSE IT IS CAUSE I SAID SO!!!!”
“And no sense of personal responsibility.”
You’re responsible for yourself. Not other peoples’ genitals. So keep your personal responsibility, ya know, fucking personal. And you let other peoples’ PERSONAL responsibility be a personal issue, not one you’re sticking your nose into.
“The world isn’t supposed to be a porn studio.” Non-argument.
4)“Also, why is it that when a woman aborts her child, it’s just a clump of cells, but when a criminal kills a pregnant woman, it’s double homicide? Pretty bad double standards here.”
You’re right. It is a double standard. It probably exists because we don’t give a fuck about splitting hairs to be more fair to murderers. What’s your point anyways? Laws are fucking stupid. That has literally nothing to do with this argument.
The rest of your comment was a bunch of whinging nonsense that has nothing to do with whether abortion is right or wrong. The “final nail” can’t be you just already deciding it’s wrong and therefore getting pissy because someone did it. That’s not the “final nail”, but then again, based on the lack of reason in anything else you’ve said here, what did I really expect?
