Hell’s yeah. I will give Jerry Peet credit, he may be an arrogant jerk who bashes the fanbase every time for everything, but his thoughts on why The Dazzling are the better villains makes sense.
Or maybe because Tommy decided to censor it like Jerry Peet does.
And thankfully enough. I haven’t seen EQG 2 (never got around to it), but from what my friends have told me, it’s pretty solid. My friend Willem in particular loves Sunset’s characterization, making her from a 1 dimensional psychobitch to a redeemed protagonist that could be sort of like a second Twilight. I’d love to see her in the ponyverse again.
@Mad Black
Which I totally agree with. The first Equestria Girls isn’t terrible, but it’s average. But Rainbow Rocks is good. I just wonder if Friendship Games will be any good.

Biggest problem with magical mystery cure is that it was rushed beyond belief. And that she got her wings and the title of a princess because of fixing a spell she casted without knowing what it would do. If you think about what she did before that, that seems very weak in comparison. So the execution of that was pretty weak as well.
Also many fans still think it was kinda wrong to turn the saving of the Chrystal empire in an assignment for Twilight. WTH
I actually would have found it more believable if the Chrystal Heart (or the Alicorn Amulet, or why not both together?) would have changed Twilight in an Alicorn, because of some magical spell that would have required some balancing power of light and dark in her to safe the Chrystal Empire herself. This spell should have been in the book. Since Twilight is basically between light and dark, that would have been the perfect analogy. And it would have been epic. Rest of season three could have been figuring out what it means to be a princess. But there is no use crying about spilled milk.
That’s what Jerry does. He makes a big deal about everything the fanbase does, constantly criticizing us and saying we’re “mindless”. We have our moments yes, but not always. He’s basically the equivalent to someone saying “STOP HAVING FUN”.
@CrassMetalHead
Perhaps, but I think making a big deal of Magical Mystery Cure wasn’t completely unfair. But making a big deal of everything is doing it wrong.
@Registered Anon
Likewise. But I really wish the fandom didn’t make such a big deal out of the episode, like how Jerry fricken Peet makes a big deal about everything the fandom does.
@CrassMetalHead
I stay away from the anti-Twilicorn groups, because I’ve never bothered to search out one because I don’t feeling getting involved. Or something. I will agree that Magical Mystery Cure is an okay episode, but it’s not perfect. They did a good job cramming so much into a single part, but it’s really the kind of episode that deserves two parts.
