I was surprised, but didn’t really care for it. While I do think the idea should have been executed later on, it still was done properly. Plus I can remember Lauren said she eventually wanted Twilight to be Celestia’s successor, but probably not the way the episode presented it.
 
I mostly find the idiocy within FIMFiction writer JawJoe, who holds that MMC “ruined the show and Twilight as a character because it became about the toys”, who shows how stupid he is as he’s getting bitchy over a show that is about toys. I remember actually putting my thoughts on it and he got all defensive. I do like he was able to explain his thoughts in his college essay rant, but the point still stands: He’s a butt hurt anti-twilacorn fan.

Huh. I was never actually against Twilicorn. When I first caught wind of it, I think I decided to just give it a shot and not really complain until the episode actually happened. Then it happened. I’m okay with how Magical Mystery Cure turned out.

Actually a while back I posted my thoughts on him to the tumblr Ick-No-Anticorns (a tumblr dedicated to criticizing bronies who are still bitchy about twilacorn and keep wanting the status quo is god), along with my thoughts on Disneymaster. Chad himself reblogged it to his tumblr as a way of seeking attention within his fans to say “HEY I’M STILL AN ANTIBRONY, NOTICE ME IDIOTS!!”

I think it’s hypocritical he thinks that about MLP because TMNT does this a lot in their show and he’s all “OH WELL THAT’S FINE”. Hypocrite at it’s finest.

Huh. What problems did he have with Season 3? What problems did he have with Magical Mystery Cure? I can agree that MMC isn’t perfect, though calling the show a “toy commercial” seems a bit unfair.
 
Also, I haven’t actually posted here in a while. I just kind of left because of all the drama, and have just sat on the sidelines watching.

It wasn’t because Faust left, he just had big problems with season 3, especially the final episode. In his opion after season 2 the show turned completely in a toy commercial.

I really kinda miss this stuff from him. He did some awesome reviews from 2010-12, since then it is really not the same, and barely watchable since he left the MLP fandom. Almost like he left reviewing as well, since he makes videos only every blue moon or so now.  
His review show for MLP episodes was called Reviews are magic and his style was kinda like what Silver Quill does now, well with more references and less half paste animation.

Chad Rocco. He has a show on Channel Awesome called Familiar Faced. At some point he started reviewing MLP. He made a pretty successful anthology Video of the different Pony Generations as well, shortly before season 2 started.

He isn’t, and obviously never will. Besides one guy fucking coming in and going “WHY YOU”, Tommy’s departure is pathetic. It’s almost as bad as CR’s departure of MLP. Give Digi credit with him later on stating Season 4 was his favorite season and actually giving some reasons as to why he felt neutral with the series before he left, Tommy flat out insulted fans just because they don’t agree with him and then having the gall to call us Pathetic when the fandom had saved animator KeyFrame, yeah, I’m pretty sure he won’t be missed.
 
Although knowing him, he’s lost a lot of revenue following his departure from the fanbase and even stating “I NEVER LIKED THE SHOW ANYWAY”.
 
Gah.

Say hello to tirek whilst you rot in tartarus. You will not be missed.

It wasn’t only that scene, but that was the last straw for many, and for others, the first sign something was going off from S1-7, which is why S8-13 is this vague period that has overlap of fans.
 
And its not so much that the episode quality dropped, but more than the episode approach changed. Less about being a family with quirks and more about wacky situations.
 
It’s not universal, obviously - just that if you look around Simpsons archives, you’ll easily find this line of distinction between fans.

I got my interest in the Simpsons way back in 2002 when Season 13 was still around and I own Seasons 1 to 12 on DVD.
 
So it was all because of the scene between Bart and Comic Book Guy in Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie? No wonder people hold that episode very high in regard.  
I just thought the Simpsons staff was just doing what they’ve always done ever since they’ve started the show, just good old-fashioned wit.  
Now I am aware that there are a lot of bad and sub-par episodes in The Simpsons, every good show has its share of outcasts you know.
