That being said though, Pear Butter is probably my favorite mom as far as design goes. She’s got a pretty, yet down to earth sort of appearance.

The episode in which they show up also explains why they’ve been absent for so long; Rainbow deliberately hid news of her acceptance into the wonderbolts (something they know has been a life goal for her) from them and admitted that she’s been embarrassed by their exuberant behavior since she was a filly. It’s fair to assume, then, that she kept communications with her parents to a minimum when she moved out and avoided bringing them up in conversation as much as she could.

I don’t believe Rainbow’s parents have ever been brought at all up prior to “Parental Glideance”. If they were, then they were definitely never referred to in the past tense nor hinted at being indefinitely absent from Rainbow’s life.

Who says they arent looking. We dont see every second their everyday lives. Also, their parents have no way of communicating because they are trapped.

The worst part about all this is that when the episode airs in the US, Jim Miller will still avoid directly saying that this episode means that they’re dead.

Why didnt they show up until this season then? Also it’s called a red herring. They want you to believe they are dead, but they are just stranded somewhere unable to communicate.

Has AJ gotten a letter from them?  
Are they said to have gone on a trip?  
If they are trapped, then why isn’t anyone looking for them?  
Why isn’t anybody wondering where they are?  
Shouldn’t the Apples be looking for them if they are truly just lost?

Rainbows parents didnt show up before this season. Doesnt mean they were dead. Also, death is the sadder option. I don’t want that.
