If you want to keep believing that and sugarcoat in a fact of life, so be it. But you’re making it hard for me and others to respect your opinion when you are not respecting ours. Lastly, just know that everything we’ve seen in the show strongly implies they are deceased, and don’t be surprised if others also find your viewpoint unpopular.

This is true. There is indeed no proof that AJ’s parents are dead for sure, so the writers can bring them back if they wanted to. But the thing is there is no proof they are alive either, so it could go the other way as well and confirm they are dead. It’s just the possibility that they are dead is more likely at the moment based on what has been said in the show so far, but again, it’s not confirmation.
 
Meanwhile, nothing has been said in the show that makes the possibility that they are alive more likely other than there is no proof they are dead. Both possibilities are there, it’s just that the possibility they are dead has more to it.

In real life, it helps us to cope with the loss of someone close us and reach acceptance. As for the MLP, it makes the show more relatable. Although death is a fact of life, knowing that you’re not alone in facing it makes it much more bearable.

I called them that because that is what it feels like. There would be no good reason to kill off 2 good people when they wouldn’t even kill Chrysalis in the season 6 finale.

Villain deaths don’t invoke the same sense of loss that we feel when a character we deeply sympathize with dies, though.

Now you’re crossing the line. You can believe that the Apple parents are alive, but there is absolutely no need to attack the DHX staff.

I’d have no problem if someone like Chrysalis or Tirek died to add drama. Just don’t touch good honest people like the Apple parents.
