But that doesn’t make him the “butt monkey”, nor dose shoving Timber’s relationship with Twi in our faces make him “better”. And it can’t count as “starting over” if it’s a completely different Twilight.

1. By “development” I mean adding things that make him a fuller character, namely a backstory and meaningful interactions with characters that aren’t Twilight and that don’t have to do with romance.
    
2. By “butt monkey” I meant the now running gag that he gets ignored by most characters in the movies for one reason or another.
    
3. And yes this is a different Twilight, but by “starting over” I meant giving a Twilight a sudden romance with a new character.
