Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to write a lengthy essay on why SpongeBob sucks, because it has a pineapple in it and I don’t like pineapples, and how dare a show contain something that exists in real life instead of portraying reality the way I want it, since I’m clearly the most important person in the planet.
 
No but seriously, some of the arguments brought up here are so utterly ridiculous that I can’t even conceive of how to try to debate them, I hadn’t seen this level of backwards logic since… Well, yesterday, really, but that’s no excuse.
 
And about the picture itself, their heads are a bit odd to look at. One’s smaller than average and the other one bigger, and the show usually has standard models so it looks weird when you see it first. Not necessarily bad, but a bit of a departure from the usual. Nice manes though.

Yes holiday and lofty finally make there show appearance I can’t wait for this episode.

I know it is offtopic but let me explain: It is the same way people like certain ships but don’t want the show to have canon ships.  
Or the same way men masturbate to “lesbian porn” while not wanting anything to do with real life lesbians (who are VERY rarely like porn ones).  
Or the same way you can like “violent video games” and detest violence in real life.
 
In other words there is diffenrence between “fantasy” and “reality” (or “canon” and “fanon” in this case)

If it was fan art, we would be moderating this very differently. But as it’s a preview of something that hasn’t even aired for most people yet, we’re letting it run more like a forum thread, where people can talk about the themes of the image.
 
Normally, talking about the theme of an image, like debating whether a character is LGBT, or whether LGBT people should be acknowledge, etc, is against our rules. But for this image it seems best to let the conversation run, as long as it doesn’t go too far off the rails.

Just to clear up a possible misunderstanding, we don’t publicly announce it when people are banned, unless they’ve been SUCH an asshole that we feel like slamming the door on their ass on the way out, or need to stick their head on a pike at the castle gates as a sharp object lesson for others.
 
And all of this hoopla over a couple of lesbian aunts is a bit of a shit show. Every time Scootaloo’s aunts appear, there’s a tiny group of people who start flipping out about the possibility that lesbians actual exist (even though most of them have browsing histories that make their public revulsion difficult to explain).
 
So: Not saying if anyone’s been banned or not, and for some reason some people are triggered by this single image, so it has been a bit of a shitshow.

Now I have to do new vectors. This is terrible, people. A new low. These forced PC DHX character designs go against everything the good and wholesome the IDW lesbian aunt designs stood for. Maybe they are just wearing disguises and aren’t really new designs?
