Bottom-line: it’s not exactly the end of derpibooru, but the drama is not entirely inconsequential either.

Nobody is denying that there are some people who are, but focusing on Aryanne like she’s the crux of the matter is simply being disingenuous.
 
The slippery slope is real, guys. Because as soon as Aryanne was almost banned, people on Twitter started talking about removing foalcon and rape because once you give someone an inch, they’ll take a mile. This isn’t just about Aryanne. People are just ignoring the forest for the trees.
 
It’s Aryanne today, but it can be anything else tomorrow.
 
This isn’t the place for politics in the first place.  
Exactly! Why do you think the topics that HumanoSiniestro brought up get “downvoted to hell”, as mid_day_dreamer so eloquently put it?  

A lot of downvotes are because nobody really cares for virtue signaling anymore. Or shoving political beliefs down everyone else’s throats for that matter. Nobody is interested in hearing you cry about your virtues, and they sure as hell don’t appreciate being called [scary buzzword] for not bending over every time you feel the need to yell about it.
 
But yeah, this isn’t the place for politics in the first place. Which is why it would be wisest for the mods to simply not get involved in highly divisive American politics. Derpibooru is hosted in flipping Europe! Why is it that what happens over here, matters over there?

I was here looking for images too. That’s the main reason why I am here.  
Also, isn’t ironic that this is not a site of politic themes but the admins let here images about the mentioned hashtags? If this site really don’t want to introduce the politics here, then this is just a big incongruency by the administrators. Specially because drawing those thematics is indirectly supporting them. I know a drawing doesn’t make the difference, but commentaries about people giving their opinions aren’t the difference too.
 
And, for now, this is a little fight. Another internet conflict without transcendency. But I rather not prove the luck and show defiance, specially with everything happening.

This isn’t the place for politics in the first place. This is a privately owned social media. Is it really that hard to not break the rules? So basically so long as you don’t come to derpibooru to discuss politics in a free and open environment, you’re fine. (Idk about you, but I come here to look at pictures mostly…)
 
If they were censoring say a certain ship, or something like that there would be something to rally against.

Actually, the front page is filtered. If you logout, you’ll see some images with the filters. But well, even if I’m wrong, you’re seeing the problem by the most superficial way. People is angry because an OC?  
The answer is not. Or well, at least not all the people. Here, the problem is that people angry with that OC is the 90% of the administration. And the rest of the 10% is neutral, I think. The site is supporting the American Politics, and the hashtags, like #BlackLivesMatter or the #PrideMonth not to mention the OC before. Are people really forgeting that there’s a pack about the theme?  
Anyway. Here the problem is the censorship. You cannot say nothing about beign disagree with those movements, even with respect. Trust me, I’ve seen a lot of censored people just because they disagree with those hastag, giving us arguments and everything the necessary points to sostain an argument. I even was a victim of that. This site supports censorship, is not that wrong with you? Surely, people maybe think the problem isn’t real because this is only the begining, but this is a time-bomb that will explode in the next months. That’s why some artists are leaving the site, or puting DNP in their works. You see? The real problem is this site supporting the censorship, cenroship that will affect everyone in the future. Unless this changes, I don’t see a good future for the site.  
In another words, I still thinking more uploads doesn’t mean alive and well. Those people who don’t really know the problem will be who’ll have a worse future, because this is harder than any other problems from the past.

The front page is not filtered. It’s simply all the most recent submissions. Therefore I dare say the average state of the front page is an accurate reflection of the site.
 
 
On this case more people ignorant means there is less of a problem. The ‘problem’ is that people are angry over a meme OC. If people dont know, it means they are not mad: ergo less problem. Most people will never attemp to upload the content that is being ‘censored’ so they have no reason to care. And most people won’t care, and won’t leave. Every upset minority on every game or website always thinks they represent the majority oh players/users but the reality is that most people just dont give a shit.
