…….. think dark magic corruption thing kinda is what is going on. their gems are not part of theri bodies yet they re fused to them in this picture.
whatever they actually are, their juse of the gems, and prsumably theri siren voices tht are seperate, basicalyl caused them to fuse and become bsaically windigio sea pony things.
personally, thinking they used to be kelpies. then they somehow gained windigo powers through the gems.
Anyone remembers the Hearth’s Warming Eve episode? Who was the one who identified the creatures as Windigos? Clover the Clever. And why did she know that they existed in the first place? Because her mentor Starswirl the Bearded told her about them. The very same Starswirl who probably banished the Dazzlings to the Humanverse. So I guess that’s how the Windigos really look like. Maybe these three are even the same ones that caused the strife between the three tribes and continued to do so after the founding of Equestria until Starswirl finally caught them.
I can’t believe that Hasbro gave his ok to this. One would assume that they insist one giving the Dazzling a form that resembles their toys instead of turning them into some (pretty could) dragon/ windigo things. Now I’m worried that they get reformed via rainbow and turn into actual ponies hence the pony toys.

mainly cause if the gems were a vital part of their beign…… they would kinad be dead.
the only exception would have been the Nightmares, who were gorgeous demons, but sitll had beastly features.

……….. kinda gave my evidence. the gems are shown on that thing, and the gems are in fact artifacts seperate from them rather than a body part. bsaicalyl if it was simply a piece of their body it would cease to be, much like twilight’s wings and horns.
besides my imagining is that the dazllers are actually kelpies that somehow stole the essence of windigos and became these creatures. basicalyl you are accusing me of wanting my waifu to be a sea serpent pony.
