True, although with Sunset its more then a little complicated for how to ‘resolve things’. With Flash, even though Rainbow Rocks didn’t pretend Flash’s romance with Twilight didn’t exist, they did kind of write it off as insignificant by having Twilight and Flash try to kiss each other with very little build-up, and suddenly the glorious ‘Inconveniant Trixie’ appeared and made them all forget about it.
 
With Sunset, her backstory, importance and character depth skyrocketed. In just 1 movie, it opened up a whole mess of new questions and new AND old realizations that we disregarded in Equestria Girls 1
 
‘Sunset really is the first apprentice of Celestia before Twi’  
‘Sunset might be wiser then Celestia and Twilight now about the whole ‘princess of friendship’ issue. How will that effect the main plot if the movie debunks the show’s idea?’  
‘Sunset is somehow an element of harmony’  
‘There are two Twilight Sparkles but so far only one Sunset Shimmer’  
‘The other Twilight is an unknown, neutral party who is potentially an unawakened element of magic’  
‘The effects of 7 elements of harmony is almost literally godly’  
‘Will the other pony Mane 6 meet Sunset? Having other members visit the other side and vice versa sounds like some interesting story potential.’  
‘What would happen if Sunset and Celestia reconciled after Rainbow Rocks?’  
‘With the portal open for good, even after graduation, Sunset has no reason to say goodbye to her friends. But she has many reasons to return home…Twilight and Celestia are on the other side, and they may need her more then they know.’
 
And the fact that the portal is open for good, not to mention the second half of the ending credits showed Sunset, RD, Pinkie, Rarity, AJ and Fluttershy as a new Main 6, it leaves a lot questions and story potential open.

Well, as of the second movie, it’s not so much “one day” anymore. She can open the portal any time she wants, meaning she can just drop in if she wants.
 
As for “closure” and “resolving” things, I think the best way to wrap up the Equestria Girls series if they decide to end it would be with the only thing that’s natural nor a series in high school: Graduation day! Go forth proudly, Equestria Girls, for you have become Equestria Women.
 
Oh, and Carlos? Say that three more times, then put an NES in the jar.

Thing is, both previous movies were resolved with the idea that Twilight will one day get to see her Canterlot High friends again. Ending it with anything other than an open ending would be… extremely sad, regardless of how much closure they attempt to provide, and especially considering the whole “We’ll have memories of these things for the rest of our lives”-thing that such a story-resolution would come with.

basically a retelling of ben 10 omniverse with a lot less douchebaginess (they ruined the canon pairing from the previous seasons in the worst way possible and have the main character still be enough of a magnet to have girls fighting over him)

depends i guess if the third movie is the last movie in the series (if it was a transformers show, they can get away with ‘movie #4 in a trilogy’…they do that a lot) then they have to address every unresolved issue, especially if they’re going to seal off the portal (make dimension hopping impossible).
 
if that’s the case, let the writing team of gundam x have a crack at it (the episode count got cut drastically and they paired off every possible pairing and it didn’t came out like a train wreck)

Because his character has had no change, so there’s no way to salvage him! The best, the BEST they could do is have Sunset Shimmer and Flash be a couple again, because then it wouldn’t matter anymore since they’d both be relegated to “side character”-position.
 
And it’s not like the third movie has no story or ideas for development or direction, people don’t WANT to see Flash, they just want to see “Scientist Twilight”.

Please tell me this is the part where Twilight and Rarity kiss. (Spike kissing either or both of them as well is optional.)
 
Otherwise this is gonna get real ugly real fast.

There’s drama because this was a genuine swipe at people’s critique. I’m sure there were many annoying fans out there but to lump everyone together and say “hating flash makes the cast cry” is stupid.
 
I know it’s hard to swallow, but these characters aren’t real. So when someone in a show is boring, flat or downright badly written you ARE allowed to dislike him and react badly when every other shipper turns him into their “OTP” and to have that thrown back at you as a stupid meta joke is downright insulting.
 
This comic has been generally interesting, Nightmare possession leading to irthing your old corruption as a new life, fun descendants. After all it’s called “Crazy future” and what “Crazy” future is this guy laying out for our main character? Twilight fucked a royal guard once.
