I agree it can be annoying when people get overly angry. But it’s not an excuse to just dismiss the reason people don’t like something.
 
This just turns the comic into a mouthpiece telling everyone “I’m right and you’re wrong you’re making twilight cry you’re so wrong” and that’s just dumb.

Like it or not what this strip is alluding to is not so crazy, it’s actually one of the most reasonable occurrence in Vavacung’s comics.

…but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be his mindset :( Going by the replies he’s been giving the commenters on deviantart, he wants us to believe Twilight was so loved by the people over her ‘lesser hero’ friends, or even Cadence (who was married btw), when Flash Sentry was alive that quote: “this ISN’T breaking the 4th wall”…and her extreme importance and popularity to the people and the jealousy of suitors, even back then, is actually something he’s trying to pull off as fact.
 
I fear this writer wants to fuse his misguided finger waving at the fandom with his actual story.
 
This will only end in tears DRAMA.

I thought this story arc was trying to be clever and create a post generation arc for the sake of exploring the possible future of Equestria, like new chosen elements of harmony….
 
Not to post meta-shit that is based on missing the point entirely.
 
In fact I can’t help but feel that this page in particular felt very off kilter, as if a knee-jerk reaction to something. I’ve noted before that this writer is putting an ‘aura of unflawed and perfection’ around Twilight in this comic in place of in-show Celestia. This story-arc is based on the end of S4 and its theme right? Then Rainbow Rocks came along and pulled the rug out from under that theme’s feet. Rainbow Rocks did a shockingly good job in removing the show’s focus off of Twilight as the ‘one and only important’ protagonist for major conflicts, a minor and resolvable issue in S1 and S2, but a major writing problem in S3 and S4.
 
Twilight mouthing off on how loved she is and how that’s the reason Flash is so hated seems so artificial and bs in this strip, it almost feels like the the writer is in denial, even with the meta-shit.
 
I’m not sure what this writer was thinking, this was the equivalent of shooting your own story in the foot. How was it worth it?
