From the standpoint of our approach to copyright they are identical.

The resized image is derivative and if the artist wishes it removed, we remove it. The artist gets to choose how they wish their art to presented.

Without this, even things as simple as Patreon exclusive images would lose their meaning.

So, for me, it is a vastly more significant problem, because it competes with artists for revenue streams.
