it's pretty much what i was just thinking. the scientific metho(d needs solid evidence in order to build a solid conclusion. in the atheist/theist discussion about god, theists believe that god exists and atheists believe that he does not, there is literally only belief involved without any solid evidence. so technically, atheism is not any less of a belief than mainstream religion is. claiming that "no, i dont believe in any imaginary magic figures, i only believe in science" is just ridiculous.
