To play devil's advocate, if the Gospels are to be believed, the decision to arrest and put Jesus on trial was made by the assembly of the Sanhedrin, which after questioning him (including on whether he was the Son of God), sent him to Pontius Pilate and King Herode for further questioning. Pilate eventually left the decision to spare or condemn him to the mob (which was influenced by the chief priests and elders to pick the latter), and then had his men proceed to his flogging and crucif
At any rate, the historical truth is likely that Pilate ended up executing Jesus because he agreed with the leaders of the Temple that Jesus was too much of a threat to the public order to be left alive.
Still a pretty dumb reason to be antisemitic at all though.
