It’s due to the movie coming out, they always try to release it around the time of the movie.
 
Also, since Last Jedi DLC is arriving soon, sales are going back up as a result. We should’ve fought harder…

Personally, I wouldn’t bat a single eye if either EA’s website got defaced or their HQ being flooded with malware and viruses by angry hackers. They deserve it, as far as I am concerned.
