It is not about them_*holding_* a certain political view. It is about them _*trying to force it, on everyone, while trampling the opposition_* - and hence being unable to guarantee that they won't keep trying to do it (they have already ignored objections twice over) if the changes are reversed.

You can't patch things up with someone who doesn't value your opinion in the slightest. For a discussion, and hence amendments, to take place they need to actually consider others' viewpoints, which they have proven they are unwilling to do, and **in my opinion will_*stay_* unwilling while they're in a position of power**.
That's also another reason why censorship is bad, as I have said before: it announces that whoever is censoring something is completely and utterly unwilling to have a discussion on said something, or when it's an ideology,_*with_* someone who shares it.

Because they don't actually *agree* on doing this in the first place. Again, a very large portion of staff are against this decision, and going by the way some pics allegedly flip-flopped, also don't want to enforce it.
