Poll results: What should happen next

It goes too far, the old rules worked fine for a decade, we should keep them.

It doesn't go far enough, all images with Nazi imagery should be banned.

I'm worried about how hard it will be to enforce consistently.

Perhaps they bothered to go look and see that one of its active threads is literally a nazi indoctrination thread???
 
That said I think this entire thing is kind of missing the point - rules should focus mainly on the behavior of USERS, with art coming secondary to that. There is no option for that in the poll though.

It depends on how they look at the results, really. Will those that agree with the proposal and think it doesn’t go far enough be added? There are essentially three options dividing the ‘agree with the rule change at least tentatively’ vote.

This is a fairly dishonest way of looking at things. ‘The mob’, ‘freedom crowd’, ‘censorship crowd’.
 
I think most people don’t really care about aryanne to be honest from a rule standpoint, they are much more concerned about the blatantly racist behavior of some users on the site. For some reason every proposed rule change - at least afaik - has been focused on artwork. People are using a fictional character made to be a living shitpost as a shield from critique. Its just a way to try to muddle the issue instead of actually addressing it.

If you want Nazis garbage to be hosted here, just fuck off. Apparently there’s barely any actual nazi tags or nazis here to begin with, so nothing is lost here. Just nuke it and get it over with.

Still holding hope that given that they - for whatever reason - divided the ‘agree’ vote three ways they will at least add the ‘agree with the rules’ and ‘agree but they don’t go far enough’ votes together.

In contrary, it takes up little space on Derpibooru so why get so up in arms over something so inconsequential in the grand scheme? Why forfeit general artistic freedoms over a minuscule fraction of people you hate?

As a side note I will never “just use the filters” on the content we are talking about because I don’t filter potentially rule breaking content because I want to report it to the mods.

#4 Use filters to hide unwanted content and follow local content law

Yes because this is totally about the evil nazis and not actually a concern about censorship. It will definitely stop here.  
Filters exist for a reason. You choosing not to use them is on you and shouldn’t be on the website to remove things you personally dislike. I hate nazis too but whether there is Aryanne art on here doesn’t cause any impact and isn’t magically breeding more nazis.

I find it concerning that the anonposting is all in favor of censorship. Surely if you are going to stand for something it’d be more credible to actually associate it to your name.
 
Well congrats to said person. They could have said something then, why is it suddenly an issue now? Surely in your / their belief if this is so wrong it should have been addressed immediately!
 
Or they barely interacted with Derpibooru and forgot their account existed until called to arms to brigade the site.

Mate, a site enforcing a ToS isn’t ‘censorship’, for one. For two, I’m more concerned about users that are racist and openly stan for nazism than I am with a fictional character made to be a shit post - but there isn’t really an option on the poll for that is there?

Users harassing others or making lazy politically extreme rhetoric in the comments are not equal to the whole issue of hosting art. Sure you can make some “but they’re both freedom of expression!!” claim, but we all know they’re not equal and this kind of gotcha is just obvious bait.
