For some legit continuity between mediums and not the current pick and choose method the show seems to do. We've seen pony Flash, but that doesn't necessarily mean Twilight has a mirror to human world. We've seen a specific board game and the CMC as filly scouts, doesn't mean Trixie was the queen of the Diamond Dogs. We've seen that Pinkie has 3 sisters, doesn't mean that Cadance used to be a pegasus orphan or Discord used to have a pet clownfish.
